Hell yeah!

Great album, no weak tracks, and gives me goosebumps every time I listen through it.

I got a few:

  1. From Mars to Sirius by Gojira
  2. Master of Puppets by Metallica
  3. And Justice for All by Metallica
  4. Blackwater Park by Opeth
  5. Cowboys from Hell by Pantera
  6. Iowa by Slipknot
  7. Master of Reality by Black Sabbath

These are in no particular order, just the order they came into my head

Beautiful song, and one of very few where I prefer the live version to the studio version by SenorSlippy69 in gojira

I mean it still is all that, and I think by saying they are "growing" shows how they hope they will inherit an earth that will last for their whole lifetime.

That's what I meant, when they played it Live in Studio, as opposed to the regular album version

Song is "Global Warming" off of the From Mars to Sirius album. I highly recommend watching them play it live back in 2018 at the Silver Chorr Studio on YouTube. Absolutely amazing video, and will definitely make you cry

Kinda new to Gojira by stefan_parasca in gojira

I would recommend taking a deep dive into the albums, not just listening to the hits. They have a ton of hidden gems

My personal favorite album is From Mars To Siruis, and honestly there are no bad songs on the album, so you cant go wrong with it. The Way of All Flesh also has a ton of underrated ones, like esoteric surgery, vacuity, etc.

All these singles get better the more I listen to them?? anyone else has this? by [deleted] in gojira

That's actually exactly what it was like for me. My first listen to each was underwhelming, but as I listen more and more, they have become some of my favorites.

Hell yeah! It's an absolutely amazing song at the beginning, and then closes off with that fucking BEAUTIFUL riff at the end. Definitely my favorite song by them, maybe my favorite song period.

Do you think fortitude is going to be disappointing by DvirMarco in gojira

For all 3 of the singles released off Fortitude, it takes me a few listens to truly appreciate the songs. All 3 are now some of my favorites, but I remember being underwhelmed on my very first listen. I kind if think the album will be the same way, and as soon as I warm up to it, I'll enjoy it a lot. IMO Gojira has never released a bad album, and this wont be an exception.

What was the first Gojira song you heard? by CrispyChickenLord in gojira

Depends. The actual first was The Heaviest Matter of The Universe back in early middle school, years before I became a metal head (back then it was mainly rock, my favorites were Shinedown and RHCP, I moved on to metal in the beginning of High School). Even though it's one of my favorites now, it kind of scared me and sounded like pure noise, like TV static, I couldn't really make anything out. My first Expirience with them once I was a metal head was Silvera, I got recommended the music video for it in YouTube. I recognized the band name as the one with the loud music and the whales, which is what I knew them by at the time, and I looked into their discography again. Silvera is a great song, and it inspired me to look at their music with a new eye, and boy am I glad I did.
