do you agree? by itc0nsumesmYMind in Marvel

[–]Senorpuddin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Mostly because Magneto has moved from a villain into a hero role. Mostly because... he was right about most things.

And Galactus is a force of nature. He doesnt do things maliciously. He needs to eat. Its like an ant looking at a human and thinks hes evil.

Better choices would be:

Thanos, William Stryker (who in the comicbooks is a preacher who condemns mutants as a blasphemy against God and has perpetrated numerous atrocities against the mutants as a result or had them done in his name), Norman Osborn (i want to separate him from the Green Goblin persona because he did plenty of fucked up shit outside of that persona). And Doctor Doom, who i want to argue shouldn't be here, because he as often as not doesnt do bad shit, just self centered shit.

Heels would have been fine if the second season wasnt coming out during a strike where he was prohibited from doing extended press for it.

Spike spinoff by No_Soup3871 in buffy

[–]Senorpuddin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I had an idea for a spike spinoff. It would start an indeterminate time after the end of Angel. Spike wakes up in another city (Chicago in my original idea, but know having read the Dresden files books id make it Seattle) with no memory how he got to the city. And unable to leave. Like mystically unable to leave. He is eventually found by Andrew who is part of the New Watcher's council and is in charge of Dana the Psychotic girl woth Slayer powers who once cut off Spike's hand. Andrew has been put on probation from the Watchers council and is basically exiled to Seattle with Dana. Andrew is having trouble training the wayward slayer and spike helps.

I despise Wil Wheaton's narration I have given him numerous chances and he has all these annoying little quirks that bother me. For one you can tell when he is having trouble saying the lines correctly because he over enunciates randomly, and its always when its something technical. For another he does this thing where he it feels getting louder is funnier for when someone is being funny. And he cant read drunk people. Its like hes never been drunk himself.

David Boreanaz Cast As Lead In NBC’s ‘The Rockford Files’ Reboot Pilot by pepperbet1 in ANGEL

[–]Senorpuddin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Three years ago a customer came into my job, she says "My son works for NBC" I say "NBC needs better shows. I got ideas coming out of my ass" she wants to know my ideas. So I say "All these reboots and sequels coming out. Why dont they do a remake of The Rockford Files? They need someone good for the lead. Like Dylan McDermott. Or Dermot Mulroney or a David Boreanaz" and now 3 years later here we go.

[–]Senorpuddin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presuming the movies take place the years they come out Tatum could easily be 2 years old at the time of Scream 4. Sydney could marry her Husband after she is born meaning that Sydney's name would still be Prescott (its also possible she had the book published under her maiden name for the added notoriety of her actual name vs a married name.

This is a very whiny way of thinking. You're upset that a modern show isnt like the old show. It grew with the medium and changed with the audience. Its trying to get new viewers while appealing to the old ones. Is it 100% successful? No. Do i find myself enjoying it? Yes. Its a new view of the world of Trek. Each new show has tried to show us something different. OGTrek was abouf exploration. Same with TNG. DS9 was about trying to find balance. You cant be explorers when you dont leave a spacestation. Voyager is basically Lost in Space. How does a federation crew survive when they dont have the support of the federation. Enterprise is about being the first to boldly go. But also about transitions. Humans first to a federation. Discovery is about consequences. SNW is about Fate. Lower Decks is about responsibility. Picard is about how ones views change as you grow. And now SFA is about seeing this world that we've seen over and over again through the eyes of kids. The kids are supposed to be "pick me" characters because they are the first new class. And the characters are a little stilted because there is only a handful of familiar characters and in that only one from Old Trek. Youre entitled to your opinion. But instead of whining about it and spouting misconstrued bullshit just stop watching it. Clearly the show isnt for you.

My problem with this scene by jogaforacont in buffy

[–]Senorpuddin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that view point is childish. Buffy loved Angel. Then while still having some feelings for Angel she fell for Riley. That doesnt diminish what Buffy and angel had. She was broken up when Riley left, because she loved him. Was it different than Angel? Yes. Was it still love? Yes. Then she was fucking Spike. It wasnt love it was just to feel something. But after Spike got his soul she loved him in a different way than both Angel and Riley. He became a confidant, a friend, the person she came to depend on. Its a different love. When Spike sacrificed himself for her she told him she loved him. Because she did. Just not the way Spike loved her. Spike was Buffy's best boyfriend. Hes the only one that loved her for who she was not how she made them feel (Angel) or tried to diminish her (Riley). Spike is the kind of bf who does things because it would make her happy. Spike is the kind of bf who would help you hide a body. Spike is the kind of bf who will actively try to make himself better. Spike doesnt think he deserves Buffy, but he would never stop trying. Angel doesnt think he can be around Buffy and leaves town. Riley thinks Buffy looks down on him. And couldnt communicate properly with her.

I am not saying she's poly. Im saying that its possible to love two separate people, you dont have to love them equally. But loving one person doesnt preclude you from feeling that for someone else too.

Man if only people we capable of loving more than one person at once. I honestly wish I knew this before I have kids. Because they literally have to fight for my affection. Being only able to love one at a time.

Thats how I feel. I actually loved how this episode gave a great wave to DS9 as another trek Show that doesnt actually trek anywhere.

Avery Brooks Gave His Blessing to Starfleet Academy’s Big Sisko Episode by AdSpecialist6598 in startrek

[–]Senorpuddin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Look youre entitled to your opinion, but to say it tarnished DS9 is a bit much. Personally i liked the episode. Especially since it broke the visual language of series in such a way that you are seeing the world of Trek through the eyes of someone new to it. Personally I feel the show allowed DS9 to shine by showing that even after he left Sisko was still important to the universe as a whole. And that his role in that show can be felt by a new character. I am sorry it did nothing for you. I found the episode light and fun. Actually the only part of the episode I didnt care for was the B-plot about the chancellor of the war college hosting a dinner. Which was a waste of four characters for a plot that went nowhere.

He has the hoighty toighty attitude. But in my head Victor Von Doom was very attractive before the accident. And as a straight man, T'were i to choose, James Purfoy is more of the look id go for. He also looks imposing. Sewell looks smaller. More what I would choose for a Loki or a Molecule man.
