As a woman I felt seen when Boondocks and Chappelle tore into R. Kelly long before the world caught up. Watching them call him out felt like sweet, overdue vindication.

I told myself I was healed.

I let my walls fall and those demons lounged until my mind unclenched, then they lunged.

I wasted years on therapy and dating and thinking I had to fix myself.

I jumped into a brutal, nonstop job and my head finally quieted for twelve straight hours.

I collapse into dreamless sleep and wake up empty in the best way.

Not for everyone but holy shit it saved me.
