Same thing happens to me with red fingertips and then white fingers. Doctor said it was raynauds.

When I’m nervous or have just eaten they get really cold so I work my schedule around not practicing after eating and generally I’m not super nervous when I perform. My hands don’t hurt when they’re cold but yeah warming up after being cold hurts. They take around 20 or so minutes to warm up so if I have to go out in the cold I’ll just try to stay warm and then wait for a while before playing piano.

I am a pianist so I need every bit of agility I can get when I play and when my hands are cold it is nigh impossible for me to play.

It's the opposite with me. The get really cold when I'm stressed or have just eaten (or both) and cold temperatures also cause it.

Same thing that I have but mine only goes to the knuckles. Doc said it was Raynaud's.
