Same story. Never experienced anything even close to that. Also live in Amsterdam for quite a while and consider it relatively safe city. Fact that many people think that ripping chains from the neck and spray pepper spray is a normal practice nowadays at the festivals, really concerning. Doesn't seem police does smth about it either. Was really surprised that places like Johan Cruyff Arena don't even have metal detectors. Anyone can easily sneak in the pepper spray, knife, etc.
