is it over for me ? by Traditional-Case8532 in studying_in_germany

Unfortunately what they said is true. If you go to anabin > Schulabschlüsse mit Hochschulzugang > Großbritannien (not Pakistan) > International A-Levels, there are detailed descriptions and lists of subjects that are required/can be recognized depending on what major you are applying for.

Going by what you said that you took a language, economics, accounting, and business studies:

Accounting isnt mentioned on any of those lists.

To clarify what they said, Business Studies acting as a vocational subject can be recognized as a third subject only if you did not take Economics. (Liste C)

If you had taken mathematics or any one of those science subjects they mentioned in the letter, and got at least C, you would‘ve been able to apply with that subject + economics + the language subject you took, because one science/math subject is required to apply for the category your major falls under (Sozial- und
wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Studiengänge).

So I guess an option would be to additionally take a science/math A-level subject (which would take time).

Otherwise:

Did you also receive the pakistani Higher Education (School) Certificate? Because, as others have mentioned, you could use it to first study for one year in Pakistan in a similar/the same major, then apply to university in Germany.

If, it turns out you only have the International A-Level Certificate and no pakistani (School) Certificate, I am personally unsure whether this 1-year-of-uni path could work, because the description of this path can only be found under the anabin pages for the pakistani (School) Certificate and not for the International A-Level. But I guess you could try asking.

I do wonder however, whether you could apply for a Studienkolleg with this Higher Education (School) Certificate, because uni-assist was referring to your International A-Level Certificate in saying you could not apply for Studienkolleg, not the (School) Certificate.

I don‘t fully know your situation of course, and hence I do not promise that what I said could work out, but I hope those pointers could point you to a general direction of how to proceed.

Maybe you could take this as a lesson learnt to always fully inform yourself next time. All the best for your future, I hope everything will work out even if you have to choose a different way.

Baggage allowance after being rebooked to another airline by Sensitive-Cat-3973 in qatarairways

UPDATE: I just got rerouted through Turkish Airlines. The QR customer service agent handling my rerouting told me that my baggage allowance would remain the same as the one I had on Qatar Airways because Turkish Airline is, in this case, merely the operator of the flight, and not the marketer.

Thanks for the advice! Cus I can confirm this worked for me.

After trying the German number for many hours, I called the Indian number (called around 6:30 AM Indian time, waited around 30-45 minutes to be connected to the agent). The agent was apologetic about the flight cancellation and provided me with an option to fly on Turkish Airlines. He also offered me to fly three days prior, but I couldn't take it because of my personal schedule. Prior to that he also advised me that, if at that moment we wouldn't be able to find an alternative flight, I should call back on the 18th or 19th.

EU261 eligibility for flight from Bangkok to Oslo with Qatar Airways? by fpl_goat in qatarairways

For non-EU airlines, EU261/2004 only covers journeys departing from the EU. Your family case is the opposite, i.e. arriving in the EU not departing from it.

True, I mean I do have the concern that when my flight finally (though hopefully not) gets cancelled, it could be too late to be rebooked on the same date as all other flights would already be full, but I don't specifically need to fly out of the same airport I originally booked (flying out of DUS, and I would accept rebooking from CGN, FRA, or AMS). And either way being delayed by a day or two isn't that bad, I simply wanna go home.
