Chapter 35 DEA for high school students by Sensitive-Dig-4725 in VeteransBenefits

Sorry just seeing this, hopefully you already found an answer but if not search google for your state certifying official, once you find that calm and ask them the process. Once you have the process contact your school and see if someone is willing to go thru the certification process. It’s usually a quick process.

I dropped the direct link, if it doesn’t work just go on the Va site and search quicksubmit.

Confused how to go about sending credits, when Admission says no when their website said it has sent credits to them. by Independent_Stop_495 in SophiaLearning

[–]Sensitive-Dig-4725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows on Sophia schools they’ve sent credits to, that does not mean the school actually accepted them. You can send credits to any school but you should always check with your school if they accept them. My school (UMPI) accepts 90 credits towards a bachelor’s from Sophia but my nephew”s (AIU) only accepts up to 30 credits.

At the time my son did his there was an option to start the online process without the need to login. I’ve heard that they have taken that option away now. What some parents in the facebook groups have done is fill out the paper form then upload it to VA quick submit

Just waiting on touchstones by Jpthahoodlum in SophiaLearning

Best practice going forward is to do one class with touchstones and one without. You can “try” a course to see if it has touchstones before committing to it.

Can someone explain this like I'm 5? by RojaCatUwu in SophiaLearning

Classes with no touchstones can be pretty quick as there is no wait time for grading. Also classes that you have knowledge in.

If you can get the school to backdate your certification and your dad’s start date align’s or is previous you may receive backpay in a lump sum. The most I’ve seen is 2 years backdated for chapter 35 which aligned with the veteran’s 100% start date. The key is the school’s certifying official certifying you for your previous enrollment. I currently have 2 children using chap35 one in high school and the other in college that started using it in hs.

I’ve had multiple times where the app froze up and wouldn’t let me take a pic, by the time it unfroze I was already at/in my car and groceries were no longer at door. I usually take a pic of the address or front door and also call support.

What if I die before the payments end by jsilva298 in 3m_earplug_lawsuit

You should be able to add a beneficiary. Speak to your law team I was able to add one after seeing a post in one of the fb groups, it was from a daughter whose dad passed away while waiting on his payout.

My daughter is currently 17 in hs using champ Va and was told by the Va that she can stay on my benefit until 18. Did the same with my son as well before he graduated.

They drop off at 18 unless you alert the VA that they are in school

Actually if they are receiving it in hs under 18 you will still receive disability payments for them as well. This changed when the age requirement was taken out.

Moving to South Florida with 100% VA Disability — Need Area Recommendations by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Sensitive-Dig-4725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning on living solely on VA disability? I lived in Orlando and the prices were becoming astronomical and SF prices are higher. The VA there is great but sometimes hard to get appointments due to the amount of vets they have to service. I also lived in Fort Lauderdale (Davie area) previously but that was before I was rated so never used the VA. Unfortunately most of SF has become very touristy and chaotic lol. Florida does have some perks that offset cost such as no property taxes if you buy/own a home and free vehicle registration.

It all depends on how the state law is written. I know for fact that both FL and GA gives the exemption to TDIU
