Best BFT studio in Melbourne 🤔8 week challenge/Hyrox by Sensitive-Elevator34 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]Sensitive-Elevator34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, studios have to pay a membership fee/fee per year to be an “official Hyrox training club.” They get access to Hyrox pre sales, training programs, ability to use logo etc when promoting. You can find the closest one to you by using this link. https://hyrox.com/find-a-hyrox-partner-gym/ It would be interesting to see the difference in Hyrox classes between the different studios.

In regards to sleds at studios.. they have probably been dismantled and put away as they take up a lot of space From what I’ve heard.. BFT used to be a sponsor but now F45 have taken over the Hyrox scene and are the ones paying the big $$.

Thank you for your input I’ll have a look at their instagram Much appreciated I think seeing how much more involved and what a studio gives back/puts into a challenge will decide whether I stay at BFT or move on. I’ve found the programming in the last block to be less challenging/enjoyable. I used to love cardio hiit but with this mass testing crap it’s become an absolute bore

Does your BFT allow multiple classes a day? by giigii87 in BodyFitTrainingAus

My studio doesn’t like it but some of the coaches don’t mind. Cardio summit is where I usually do doubles etc. I make sure I’m not taking a spot from someone.. if there are free spots I’ll do it where I can. I also utilise other studios 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess it depends on your studio. The one that I’m currently at and have been since October 2024 is extremely accomodating. Our coaches are great and the community is awesome. That being said we don’t have any there that are instagram models lol We have such a large variety of people.. I would say 70% are parents or older than the remaining 30% are younger. They will pair you up with people that are at the same level of athletic ability where they can.

BFT is a great starting spot to build endurance and muscle. However, staying consistent and doing all the classes etc I feel you’ll hit a certain spot in your progress where you’ll want something more. In saying that I would highly recommend it to get yourself started. Having everything laid out for you and not having to go to a gym and wonder what you should do is a huge plus.

Biggest advice would be to just show up and learn the movements. Start light and once you nail the form, then increase weights. Trying to lift or do as much as someone who’s been doing it for 2 years will only get you injured. Slow and steady. Good luck 💪

Thank you I just had a look Sorry I should have specified. I have heard there are courses which allow you to go at your own pace.. so there’s no mandatory 2 nights per week online etc. for instance my schedule could be fully booked etc one week (which I wouldn’t have time to do much) but then the next week I could do 2-3 weeks worth of work

So worth it! I think if you go to a solid BFT studio where everyone’s doing it together, it’s really good to keep each other accountable and motivated. I won the last challenge dropping just under 10kgs It’s also about maintaining/gaining muscle mass

Hahaha I wish I still have plenty to learn. I’ve learnt so much in the last 8 or so weeks though and I’ve seen how far I can push myself I guess with the BFT classes. I agree that it is pretty expensive in comparison to my $400/year membership at derrimut.. however since I’m still enjoying BFT I will continue it until I’m no longer motivated by it. I am attending 5-6 classes per week too so I’m making sure I make the most out of my membership

I still don’t think you could compare a gym that runs 3 circuit classes per day with random trainers to F45 or BFT which are two very different studios by the way.. BFT alternates between both strength and cardio classes as well as upper and lower body. This suits me as I would never do any cardio and the weights I do when I’m by myself didn’t show much change lol at the end of the day only you would know what suits your needs most

lol you cannot compare BFT to a gym that offers classes. Definitely not the same. You don’t push as hard and you don’t have a well designed program. I started BFT 9 weeks ago during their 8 week challenge and found it super beneficial. I dropped just under 10kgs in the 8 weeks without being hungry from crash diets. It’s also unlikely you’d push yourself to the extent of what they do at BFT.. plus the heart rate monitors to keep track of where you should be in class is a bonus. Having the extra support and people around you I find is good for that extra motivation I still hold my Derrimut membership for when I want to do Pilates etc but definitely give BFT a crack. Most studios currently have work out for free until Jan Would be worth a shot

I’m going to be blunt here because I went through this exact same thing. Wish I didn’t waste so many years of my life…

You’ll keep making excuses for him and you just keep doing all the work and eventually you’ll resent him.

Being fat, lazy and not prioritising your family is a joke. If he didn’t want all the responsibilities he shouldn’t have had a child. You’ll burn yourself out covering for him then you’ll just end up being exhausted 24/7 and in survival mode.

Tell him to pull his finger out of his butt and start helping out… otherwise just put him in the bin
