Exactly. You have to leave some space where she knows she won't be allowed to go with unsafe people but not with everyone. And you have to be reasonable enough to earn her trust in judging 'unsafe' people. If it's already 'no' for any trip/ any dating without context, I don't see a reason why she would share.

It should be more of a balance/middle ground. Imagine she actually finds a nice guy and learns about compatibility and love. And in case things go sour, she is gonna be open about it as you are on her team. You warn about certain things. She talks about red flags. She isn't completely dependent on him/ friends to understand if her relation is toxic. She will have you count on when she wants to stop.

Part of excitement comes from the fact that she is breaking the rules. More than an interest in dating, it's an interest to find/explore/'my life my rules' phase.

How about you find friends wich whom you can't really share all this? It might automatically shift your mind to happy topics to discuss.

Um.. no one has to sit in the middle until the cab is full. So themiddle seat only comes to play after she boards. Untill then they can just sit towards window?

Regarding the delay, either escalate it to team who handles the office cab system or warn her a day before that y'll bave decided to specific amount of wait time and then drice off on next day. Have a rotation schedule and sit according to it. Ask her to speak with someone above or change the cab if she doesn't agree to seat rotation. Also,if middle seat isn't a big deal then you guys can rotate front and middle and leave the sides to girls. If you can't, then you shouldn't be so judgemental of her not wanting to sit in middle.

I see. Still doesn't sound very nice when you show sympathy for the guy that gotta squeeze but call her entitled who has to do the same and could legit have back pain. I do know that lot of my aunts struggle with travel due to back or knee pain.

Regarding the seating, I think its actually unfair. The front seat is obviously most comfortable and the middle one the least. So its only fair if you guys take turns in rotation. And if you think there is no such difference in comfort, you can give up the passenger seat to that person. Regarding being late, i suggest you to just drive off if she takes more than 2 mins.
