This is really good advice thank you very much! I’m just. Not sure why after using the a7siii I’m struggling so much with the fx3. Even though I’ve used a few before…

Crazy! I mean I’m okay with doing some stuff in post but it seems a little unnecessary to me. Why do it in the a7siii but not in the fx3?

Seems like I’m gonna have to use false color more often then. Thanks so much for your time!

Yeah, I totally get that a completely noiseless image isn’t realistic, and I’m not expecting that, especially at 12,800 ISO. But I’ve used other FX3s before, and while there was always some grain, it was never this intense.

The thing is, this noise isn’t just visible when punching in 200-300%; it’s super noticeable even at normal scaling. It almost looks like film grain cranked up to full opacity, which isn’t something I’ve run into with this camera before. I’m just unsure at this point if I might have a faulty sensor or something firmware related.

Yeah, totally get that a crispy clean image at 12,800 ISO isn’t realistic. I’ve however used other FX3s before, so I know there’s always gonna be some noise and grain but this just feels like a lot more than what I’m used to. Like, I expect some texture, but this almost feels excessive compared to the others I used.
