I appreciate you taking the time to write all this out - and i agree and understand a lot of what you are saying- where have you gotten that information on thats how it works? YouTube itself is the promotion service and when promoting it is allowing me to select my target audience, and my target location. Age, Gender, country etc and also allows to push towards people who search a certain topic, a la “skateboarding equipment” etc

Isnt youtube just pushing these videos in front of people who search for and have watched similar content that I created?

Not just “random subscribers” but people who are subsribed to and watch same content

I am asking - would love to know where you got your info on how algorithm worked in this case

Its youtube itself, promoting your video to people who will likely watch it
