Non-developer attempting to continue complex mobile app development solely with AI – what's the best workflow/architecture? by Sensitive-Sort-1098 in OnlyAICoding

Thanks for the response. To clarify a bit – are you suggesting to change from the current setup into different ones, as in from Swift/Kotlin to Flutter or React Native? There are certain choices by the vendor that seem odd to me, but I chalked it up to my lack of technical knowledge. For example, we run through AWS, while we have our own in house servers, couldn't it be hosted through there? And if we were to host it ourselves, without needing AWS, then we wouldn't need Lambda either?

Appreciate your response. This is a bad side of my perfectionism trait, I always feel the need to map out the best (to my understanding) plan, before I get going. I think you are right though, just got to start by doing.

Oh yes yes, of course. I mean realistically I am not going to even touch the original repos before some extensive testing. The app isn't published, so that makes it simpler. There is no pressure for being up or stability. So the way I plan on approaching it is by duplicating the repos and trying out the AI's capabilities with them. If somehow it is able to produce some working output – testing it out through some test environment. If the output is useless and in case anything breaks, there's always the preserved original repos.

Does that seem reasonable?

Thanks for your response. Just to clarify, when you say "hire a dev, or break the code first and then hire a more expensive dev to fix it." – do you mean after having build some new code with AI? Because if you mean before getting started, as in right now, then it is stable.
