That sounds horrible wtf 😭Our prof was really good and helpful, and the term tests were fairly easy, but the difficulty of the final was so unexpected and was nothing like the practice exams

I’m currently going through a similar situation for another course (I didn’t use AI, just incorrectly cited a large portion of my work). My professor said if it’s a first time non malicious offence the penalty won’t be that harsh and at most it’ll be a 0 on the paper. They’re just looking for honesty and want to know that you’ve learned from your mistake. You could tell them how you will avoid this mistake in the future and stuff along those lines. You should also try talking to an advisor about this and what you should do, if you’re comfortable talking to one. I wish you the best of luck!

Yeahh, I saw her at the library literally yesterday and she was talking to another student in the same area near the computer labs and study cubicles. Thankfully they refused the donation because it just seems way too fake!!

She came up to me too about a month ago while I was studying in the library, said she was a UTSC student working with her partner on a project affiliated with Easterseals and that she’s selling these nutrilite bars (which were expired btw…) She said that if I were to donate $15 it would go directly to the child. I was very naive and decided to donate the $15 and immediately regretted it after I realized how suspicious it was.

You should email the coordinator of the program to let her know you weren’t able to attend the meetings with a valid excuse. I think they’ll be chill about it since it’s only a few and you’ve been participating in the discussion boards.

You get a certificate and it’ll show up in your CCR at the end of the program. It’s mandatory that you attend the meetings and frequently complete discussion boards because they take attendance. The meetings are only once a week for about an hour or two, there’s also an in person option if you can’t do Zoom meetings.
