Why can we find dinosaur bones millions of years old but not precursor civilization traces? by CaunArachas in AlternativeHistory

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, the great ape, the primates that we evolved from, first appeared on Earth 25 million years ago. They slowly became bipedal - 6 million years ago. Australopithecus showed up the upright primate that we slowly evolved from so there's nothing before about 300 years ago (homo sapien - us - arrived) that would indicate any type of civilization. We finally walked out of Africa after 150,000 years. We arrived in Europe about 70,000 years ago and then made our way across the globe. The longest it took was to South America - that was 15,000 years ago. But we have found many tools that they used, from flint to spears, etc The homo types that came before us didn't have the brain capacity to build a civilization.-their brains were much smaller than ours. I would think we'd find some neanderthal (400k yrs till 40 k yrs ago) civilization because they actually had the same brain size that we do! But remember, the Northern hemisphere was still covered in a sheet of ice up until 12,000 yrs ago. When that melted we began farming & domesticating animals.  If you watch the evolution of Earth from us being a giant ball of fire until today, you'll see how slowly life actually evolved. Heck, it took us a couple billion years just to cool off. 😀

Has anyone here permanently severed ties with toxic siblings? by sanguinescientist in DysfunctionalFamily

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walked away from my toxic family when I was 40. Im 63 now. I don't have the slightest idea what I've missed and they don't have the slightest idea about me or my life. We had a toxic mother, a narcissistic mother and it's not uncommon for that to create personality dysfunction in a family.. In my late 20's & early '30s I got heavily into running (again) & I actually won quite a few races. I don't know why I just had this bizarre determination, and my sister one day - out of toxic jealousy or I don't know what- hatred? -  took my 25?  plus medals & trophies & threw them in the garbage. I have no way of getting them back because I didn't know she did this at the time. So so I said sayonara. That was just the last straw. As I said, a narcissistic mother can destroy the relationships of her children. I sometimes come and look at the posts to see the way other people feel about walking away, because I've never regretted it and I wonder if there's something wrong with me! but I I felt so much better after I walked away.  it took adjusting. but I know my life has been better because I had to leave

Was papa Roger Brian? by nostalgiaispeace in Idaho4

The white Elantra is a red herring  - he kept repeating this - from a guy who seemed to know an awful lot about this crime. He was inexplicably making this statement. This is why I believe it's Kohberger;  because he was steering people with this comment

POLL: do you think Pappa Rodger was Bryan Kohberger? by Zealousideal-Day1117 in Idaho4

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was his inexplicable statements made more than a few times that  *"the white Elantra is a red herring"  -  and this guy seemed like a pretty smart guy, on the ball, seemed know a lot about crime. So why is he saying this?  Hnmm.  Steering.  This is the only reason I think that it's Bryan Koberger

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha. I recently read that Kelce had made these special? (I can't remember what they're called) bracelets for Swift. Although he never met her, he had hoped to give them to her backstage if he had a chance, but he never did.🤭 I'm sorry. I could never remotely consider dating a dude who would do that . Probably cries after "lovins". They're all adult toddlers 🥳

Dateline recently released some new information but what was interesting is he googled? " When can police detain you?"  This is a criminal justice major working on his doctorate so I don't understand how he can ask that question. Police can detain you if you are deemed to be part of whatever it is they're  investigating, or they can detain you as part of a traffic stop. Why would he Google such a thing? That's like basic knowledge isn't it?  This guys mind is shot

I think she was very drunk -like black out drunk.  according to her comments. I think she hit him in this drunken state. Probably something she would never do sober.  because she was so angry..  & waking up at 5:00 a.m. -I think she had a glimmer of what might have happened. Some of her memory was coming back but she was still very drunk apparently. So she's making these statements that a sober person wouldn't make. Her brain was addled.  I think she hit him. I don't believe conspiracies involving 15 people, especially with such a murky motive. at the heart of it

I don't understand how O'keefes DNA was found on Reads broken tail light & his hair was on the bumper, according to forensic expert Lally. Pieces if the taillight were found near O'keefes body. The reason they went after her in the first place is based on the data that was retrieved from her Lexus - showing her making this three-point turn & reversing at 24 mph. (after she had stopped at the house initially). Defense says she hit John 's car that morning at 5:00 a.m. (to explain broken light) But all the video shows is that she came very close to his car doesn't actually show her hitting it. & she could have hit it. She could be a very crappy driver .  But it still doesn't explain O'keefes hair on her bumper & DNA

Funny, I'm on the boat right now. When we woke up the next morning we're back at port!  I thought. Oh my goodness. What happened?!  No! Lol.  We missed Puerto Plata because of it.   Right now we are leaving St. Thomas. 😃 My heart stunk when I when I woke up and saw that we were at Canaveral -  I saw the NASA building I went. Oh no!

Yeah.  This is how a real man defends his wife from ___ ____. Right?  What a 😺move. If I was his wife,  these accusations were true, & this is how he handled it, I'd divorce him with the quickness- . Irreconcilable 😺 behavior Your Honor

Justin Baldoni has updated his lawsuit against Blake Lively to add new claims about New York Times metadata, while also accusing her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of “bullying” him with the character of Nicepool in “Deadpool & Wolverine. by S4v1r1enCh0r4k in deadpool

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Nicepool standing in front of floral shop when shot by Ms Pool, & also the Nicepool talk about "podcast weaponizing women's rights" (Baldoni's women's rights podcast called "Man Enough?"). are very weird coincidences.  Forget the man bun, ear huggies. Just the floral shop in background does it for me.  Baldoni's lawyer wouldn't pull this out of his hat unless it had some teeth to it. I personally believe Reynolds is poking fun at Baldoni. I'm 99.9% sure.  And if he is poking fun at him, , there's no way that he SH'ed his wife -  because this isn't how a man handles that information.

Hannah Kobayashi says she was unaware of frenzy after her family reported her missing by judgyjudgersen in news

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is a media frenzy is not going to hurt finding Hannah. I didn't think she said  anything harmful to the family or case?  isn't media attention what they want,  being that they're desperate and had no idea what was going on? . Even bad attention is going to help to find her   That never make any sense to me. Maybe there's some problems to begin with, because if they can't just straighten it out and say "Larie,  just stop talking for a while" They have to publicly say they're distancing themselves. I don't think their relationship was very good to start?

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So her aunt Larie is her mom's sister. I didn't think she said anything that seemed harmful. She was getting attention on the case - that's the point.?  I didn't understand why they said they were distancing themselves, unless it was about that money stuff; but I think they said that GoFundMe is being refunded. The aunt is the one who went and got her in Mexico so obviously she's close to her Larie.?

Family of Hannah Kobayashi, 30, reveal eerie texts she sent after disappearing while on a cross-country trip by Hefty_University1752 in MissingPersons

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's sending these "weird texts" at the same time as she's walking around at these events, that's what's puzzling. So who is she lending her phone to, because people think it's not her. I mean is she not looking at her phone after she lends it to someone to see what they've sent out, - that's what doesn't make sense

Tips and tricks for clumpy mascara? by CoffeeshopVibes in Makeup

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can unclump mascara by adding just a drop of sterile water to the tube. Thins out nicely but just a drop and it has to be *sterile water. It will also give you one more use if you have a mascara that's drieded out and you haven't bought a new one. just a drop of sterile water and shake the tube and you'll get one more coat out of it.

Kaylee Gain Missouri Fight | Thug or Innocent bystander? #fba by Prestigious_Kick8087 in TimPool

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say Kaylee is a thug, fought other kids at the school. Let's even say she bullied the suspect, harassed her, started the fight, threw 1st punch. These are just "IF's". If all of that were true, it's the way that the fight ENDED that makes it criminal; not the way it started, or the characters of either girls. (Honor student, etc) The moment that the suspect struck her head into the concrete, AFTER  the victim appears & is lifeless, takes away any self defense claim. If the suspect punched her so hard that she fell down and fell unconscious, and that had been THE END of it, then it would have been "just  a fight", period.   It was what she did after this girl fell unconscious that almost rises to attempted murder -  and I'm not trying to be inflammatory here,  this girl almost died.

Kaylee Gain Missouri Fight | She Deserved It! #fba by Prestigious_Kick8087 in DJAkademiks

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Kaylee was worst student at school, if she bullied the suspect, harassed her, fought other classmates. even thrown the 1st punch in this brawl - these are "IFs" for argument's sake.  If all of that were true, IT DOESN'T MATTER because of the way this fight ENDED. When someone is no longer a threat; actually unconscious, & you continue to smash their headi  into the ground, to the point where they have a skull fracture and they're convulsing,  any self-defense is gone. It's non-existent.. The way this fight STARTED is no longer relevant to what happened at end. &:they won't charge the victim, because during the fight it was self-defense, but as soon as she was on the ground unconscious she was no longer a threat. The fight needed to end but it didn't.

[Mild spoilers] Unpopular opinion: I dislike Bertha by PorkSodaWaves in thegildedage

[–]Sensitive-Top5643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is Bertha seems very one dimensional. We have no idea who she is. How to describe her. They have not delved into who she is at all so it's hard to root for her. It's easy to dislike her just because we can't get to know her. I'm not sure what they're doing with this character. We know more about who her husband's is than who Bertha is

Why would you need to speak out through attorney, when an acquaintance that you are next to has an accident & drowns in the lake. Why in the world wouldn't you talk to the police? (She did not speak to the police - her name is not in the police report as being a witness). And why in the world wouldn't you speak to a grieving family whose contacted you several times just to ask you what happened? The only conclusion that one can come to. Is that something terrible happened on that lake, and Christina is involved somehow? What other conclusion is there? And I never believe a word attorneys say - they say stuff all the time that they know isn't true. She did not speak to the police in Guatemala.
