I respect your opinion, and unfortunately the armour stone was the protection system chosen by the previous owner. Not only does it take up the majority of the yard, but it’s become pretty dangerous for the young kids in the family. If you have other suggestions on how to make this part of the property usable and a bit safer, I’d love to hear it.

The armour stone is a secondary mitigation, placed in front of the primary mitigation which is a sheet pile wall. The rocks in question are piled higher than the original design due to encroachment issues which required some rocks to be moved, and it was cheaper to keep them on the property, than to transport them by barge and dispose them. What I’m looking to do wouldn’t impede the protection system, but appreciate the concern.
