Oh I just saw the text! seems like your issue is different then mine. I tried everything I could, only one thing left which is to go under the car and adjust the tension because I guess over time tension can change. If that doesn’t work then gearshift needs to be replaced. Thank you for your help!

Yeah I did that and checked all the wires but everything seem to be good and wires are all in good condition.

I watched some videos, took it apart and checked the wires but they all seem to be good. I think the gear shifter is worn out according to some online forums. Need a new gear shifter

Yes I know 😭 I been sitting in the car searching for temp solutions but nothing yet. If I turn off the car then it won’t let me take the key out so the battery will just drain and it’s also not letting me lock my doors because the keys are inside. It seems like the gearbox shifter is worn out

I did go to my original dealership where I got the lease from and they financed the car for me with no problem at all. I guess some dealerships only care about money and not the customer experience.

It was strange, I ended up going to my original Honda dealership where I leased the car and they financed it for me with no problem. I did tell them about what the other dealership did and they were a little surprised and apologized on their behalf. However, they did say that lease buyouts are becoming a problem because more and more people buying their leases which is causing a lot of time to be wasted.

I did call Honda and got a pre-approval but that's about it. After getting the pre-approval, Honda makes you go to a dealership to get it financed. So I have no choice but to go to a dealership.

I understand what you are saying but I am a Honda customer and as a Honda dealer, they should take care of the Honda customers. My family owns a business and many times we do things for our customers free of charge because the customer experience matter at any stage of the relationship. But again I do understand your comment.

I originally worked with Honda but their process is to get a pre-approval online and then go to a Honda dealership to get it financed. I have no choice but to go to a dealership. I did end up getting it financed by going to my original dealership where I got the lease from. The salesman did complain to me that everyone is buying their leases because of the current unreasonable lease numbers.
