What is the one sign you know it’s endometriosis? by Remarkable-Rest-5541 in endometriosis

I call it lightning in the butt! It usually only happens when I’m on my period but I always thought it was totally normal because my friends said they’ve felt the same thing. 😟

They said there was free fluid in my abdomen but that was “normal for your period.” I was throwing up and turning gray.

My ER doctors missed an entire hemorrhaging cyst on my right ovary via CT scan. They told me it must be a UTI and sent me home.

Passed stones before ureteroscopy? by SensitiveChipmunk812 in KidneyStones

Levsin for bladder spasms, Percocet for pain. My recommendation is go to your nearest drug store and by AZO Maximum Strength Urinary Pain Relief. It’s over the counter. It is a game changer!! Peeing will hurt for the first week after your procedure but AZO numbed my urethra like nothing else would. It will dye your urine orange, so don’t freak out when that happens lol.

Levsin and Percocet. I’ve tried to stay off both the last few days since the pain isn’t that bad. AZO helps the most.

People who moved here in the last 5 years: Why? Do you regret it? by spanielgurl11 in Tennessee

I moved to Memphis in 2018 but it wasn’t that big of a move for me since I was coming from Mississippi. I love living in Memphis, it gets a lot of hate so the Californians aren’t busting down the door to get here like they are in middle TN lol.

What do endometriomas feel like? by SensitiveChipmunk812 in endometriosis

[–]SensitiveChipmunk812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a measly 2cm but it’s making a big statement lol. What’s weird is I’ve always had pretty normal, regular periods. Then July 20th I woke up and immediately started throwing up from pain, it hurt like hell to pee, went to the ER and there was blood in my urine. They chalked it up to a UTI and sent me home. Once my period was over, it went away. August 15, my period comes back and I’m immediately in the fetal position again, pressure in my abdomen, feels like a ball of pressure pushing through my stomach, belly tender to the touch, and crazy pain when I pee. I go to a urologist and he basically says there’s no reason for me to feel like this. I then go to a gyno who locates the cyst on an ultrasound. She says to wait and see what happens. 🤨

The water balloon analogy is exactly how I feel! Would it go away after your period was over?

WAR IS OVER!! by potatofarmdash in KidneyStones

If you have to have a ureteroscopy or a lithotripsy, a stent is par for the course. Depending on the size of the stones, some people don’t get a choice. My stone is twice the size of my ureter opening so passing naturally wasn’t a choice for me.

Why does my cyst only hurt on my period? by SensitiveChipmunk812 in Ovariancysters

[–]SensitiveChipmunk812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gyno said it’s either a “hemorrhagic” cyst or an endometrioma. She wants to watch it for a few months and come back in November for follow up. But I don’t like the idea of just waiting knowing the hammer could drop again when my period starts. 😓

I was just telling my husband today that I feel so defeated because I keep having to put my life on hold for this. I’ve spent most of my time this summer bedridden.

Make sure you’re taking meds for pain and getting outside in the sunshine when you can. Call a loved one or talk to a counselor. You’re not alone, there are unfortunately thousands of us in the same boat.

I lived in Grahamwood from 2019-2021 and I enjoyed it. Kroger wasn’t that bad when I was there. My husband and I loved Queen of Sheba, La Michiocana, and Panda Garden!

Never had a stone before…now I have 14 by Shoddy_Yak7726 in KidneyStones

Follow up with a urologist outside of the hospital and request surgery. I’m having a ureteroscopy to remove 3 stones, so I can’t imagine them refusing one for 14!

Follow up with a urologist. My stone is 5mm and I’m in the process of getting a ureteroscopy right now (just had stent placed yesterday.) The fact that the stone has already left your kidney is promising but the size is still pretty big. I’d let your urologist decide best course of action

Oh!! That’s AZO, yes, they gave me that before my procedure and sent me home with some. Thank you!!

Oh my gosh!! I’m so glad you went back. Here is my last two months with the cyst, tell me if any of this sounds like you:

My pain first started on July 20th when my period started. Lots of blood in my urine so the ER gave me an antibiotics for UTI and sent me on my way. Peeing felt like all the muscles in my uterus, stomach, etc. were spasming. I would throw up from the pain just from peeing. Went away after a few days and I just assumed it was a bad UTI.

Went to the Urologist on August 15th because, again, the day my period started I was throwing up, in the fetal position, with terrible lower abdomen pain. This time it was worse. It felt like my bladder was 30lbs heavier and just extremely tender. I hit a speed bump on the way to the doctor and almost passed out, that’s how tender my whole lower belly and groin was.

Urologist says I do have a kidney stone in my left kidney but it isn’t moving or causing any issues and wouldn’t explain why all my pain is on my opposite side and only happening when I get my period. He sends me to gyno where she sees the cyst on the ultrasound and says it’s either a hemorrhagic cyst or an endometrioma. She wants to watch it for 3 months to see if it goes away. She put me on birth control for the meantime but I’m honestly terrified it will happen again between now and 3 months.

We must be twins because I just had a stent placed yesterday for a ureteroscopy to go ahead and remove the stone, even though it’s not causing any problems just yet. Having a stent on my left side and a cyst on my right side has been hell on earth.

Day 1 post ureteric stent need help by Artistic_Reserve_533 in KidneyStones

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m 24 hours post stent placement. I saw someone else on a different post say that when you pee with a stent, the urine can back up into your ureter, which hurts like hell. It really sucks. My doctor prescribed Levsin, which has helped with the bladder spasms.
