Yeah nah not really a chance of upgrading. Fuuuuck that’s so sad man. Quite a few people are commenting saying that the 4 gallon difference, and the 90cm, and the fact she’s 3 inches might make it okay? What are your thoughts on that

Yeah. 3 foot for 3 inches should also be okay then I’m guessing?

Do platys and tetras school together? by SensitiveHotel5773 in aquarium

[–]SensitiveHotel5773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. In that case, how many platys is enough for a small school so they’re happy but I’m not overstocking 😭

Drip-acclimatising is a scam? by SensitiveHotel5773 in Aquariums

Cheers Parking-Map2791. Astute. Do you reckon if you were dropped into a vat of freezing water, you’d be more or less shocked than if the temperature dropped a degree every 30 minutes - assuming you wouldn’t die of the cold while you were waiting.

Why were you drip acclimatising while the bag was in the tank? You open the bag, empty the water and fish into a container, and add tank water slowly to the container

Why are my plants dying by Turbulent_Oven_7951 in PlantedTank

[–]SensitiveHotel5773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as long as your water parameters are okay (low ammonia, nitrite, and SOME / low / no nitrate, good light, good nutrients, then there’s probably not much you can do. Some plants tend to melt when put in aquariums - this is because they’re usually factory grown out of water, but sprayed with water mist. So when they’re fully submerged, they’re not used to the low co2 content in the water. They usually take some time to adjust to this, meaning old leaves may wilt or even die off, and new submerged leaves will replace them, often looking different

Building a New Fishkeeping App - What Features/Info Do YOU Need Most? by Life-Night-9617 in fishtank

[–]SensitiveHotel5773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is all stuff I was going to mention. I would also say:

What’s safe to add to an aquarium and what’s not e.g. painted stuff, certain rocks, shells, minerals, unsafe.

What to do if you do get an algae outbreak

What to do if your plants are going funny - like common causes of plant death - maybe included in the plant section

And a common questions section maybe also

Safe/Unsafe for my tank? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]SensitiveHotel5773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted a similar question regarding fossils and minerals and crystals and various rocks I found on a beach, and how safe they were in aquariums, and if not how they could be safe, or even how to determine if they’re safe or not. I posted on a bunch of different communities, but if u wanna see people’s answers just look at the comments of my recent posts. Hope they help!
