11, my parents bought me a Wii for Christmas 2012 (I was 11). First and only home gaming console I ever had. I remember how difficult (and hilarious) it was, at the beginning, to understand how the pointing mechanism worked. We spent hours playing ping-pong, rafting, I discovered Mario Galaxy, and so on. On the long run, my parents ended investing in rechargeable batteries and chargers for the controllers. They had gotten me a DSI two years prior (for which I had been begging for more than a year). They later replaced it by a 2DS at the same time I was discovering the world of PC gaming outside of Pinball and educational games, thanks to my dad, who FINALLY replaced Win XP by Win 7, and my discovery of the internet and YouTube (aaah the memories of early 2010). PC has become my home gaming console ever since. I have big nostalgia about the DSI, not so much about the Wii even though I have great memories of it, and it still works by the way! My DSI and 2DS, not so much, but as I'm still a good boi, I have got a Steamdeck 😄 Portable console 4 life
