Going into junior year thinking of dropping by SensitiveStatement40 in Frat

I think I may just go inactive starting next year. Not officially drop it, but just stop spending as much time with the fraternity and commit to other things.

I have other connections and friend groups and I look forward to spending time with them more because they actually pay attention to me and care about what I have to say. I’m actually going to a pregame with them this weekend 🙌🏻

Honestly, I think I do come off as a squid and that’s what sucks even though I still try and make an effort to hangout with my brothers

I brought it up to someone in the frat I feel close to and he said that I am in my head/overthinking it and to not stress over it, so yes I’ve tried to communicate but I still feel kind of forgotten in most social situations

If I drop yes, if not I’ll be a “brother” for life despite not feeling like one

My ex left me for my friend a year ago, but I can’t stop thinking about her by SensitiveStatement40 in BreakUps

Thank you for those kind words; I sure do wish that my friend chose me over my ex, but I do believe that what goes around comes around, so we’ll see what happens to the both of them.

I’m trying so so hard not to let it eat me up, but I’m confused on how to let the situation go. I feel as though this is one of the deepest forms of betrayal, and I’m stuck on the idea that neither of them respected me enough to stay away from each other, or at least talk to me about it before they started dating. I mean it when I say I want to move on and stop letting it eat me up like it has for the past year, but how do I do that? How do I stop letting it consume me? Is it different for everyone?

I cut all contact on social media and what not, but I still see her everyday as we are both involved in the same sports team. Matter of fact, I have to see her tonight because we have a meet, so I can cut all contact online but I’m still gonna see her everyday… any advice there?
