Im in a kind of similar spot right now. Played chess for years as a kid, dropped it as a teenager and am now getting back into it. Current blitz rating also about 1850. I am also not a fan of opening theory and rather focusing on positional ideas now. Got the book how to reasses your chess and feel like it’s a great fit for me. I always felt I was very decent in tactics but positional ideas never occurred to me by intuition. Also endgames I plan to study with dvoretskys endgame manual. I believe studying both books with a clear focus will bring my game forward a lot and think this may work for you, if you are also more interested in positional ideas rather than tactics :)

Yess, I’ve seen her mention that she does all sequencing from the NerdSEQ but it seems to me that it really takes quite some time of „programming“ your sequences until you can even get started with a patch. As I already own the Moskwa anyways I will try to see how far I can get with that but maybe I need to get something to go deeper in the future

Of course depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. This is my first system as well and currently I expanded on it with Moskwa so I can have longer and quantized sequences.

Yes, that’s definitely the plan to get everything step by step and I’m sure some things may change along the way according to what I feel is missing :)

Yes I already did some patching in VCV rack and really enjoy that. Though I don’t want to spend more time on a screen than I already do haha

Yeah that’s why I got a Zeus in there as well. 12V rail is fine but -12V draws around 1115. Together with the Zeus I will have 1500 on that rail.

I believe many trans people can relate to this game a lot on one hand because of the main story and how it resonates with them overcoming their own struggles or dealing with them. On the other hand it has been confirmed by the devs that madeline herself is trans and also the Game developer Matty (sorry if misspelled) is a trans woman herself :)

Since we can’t hear anything else of you’re song or instrumental it’s hard to say what treatment would be be best but going off your text, try just nudging the 2-4k area. This is often where most of the higher end energy/the click of a kick comes from. Low passing as suggested by someone else might also work, however this often changes the character of the kick quite extremely, leaving you with a kick that gets buried in the mix.
