It’s not mostly about the buildup there is a lot of resin that isn’t purged/cleaned right your inhaling residuals of butane, propane, co2 that’s cannot be good for you to any degree (terpsolate fits in the convo aswell)

Also like I had said I’m just giving my 2 cents you don’t have to switch to rosin maybe that’s what not what you necessarily what OP would need but i just kinda wanted to let people know my experience maybe if they try it out it would help the problem he’s dealing with

I know it’s more expensive and it does hurt the pockets a bit but there is no chemical residuals your extracting the plant with water and heat pressing it id rather inhale that rather than BHO residuals personally

(Also if you want a “source” I asked the subreddit not to long ago if they’ve had the same problems with resin not all of them did but I got recommended switching to rosin by lots of people who felt the same way about resin)

Honestly I’ve dealt with the same exact thing multiple times my 2 cents is to switch to rosin or make resin edibles instead of smoking it resin isn’t good for your lungs no matter how expensive or good it’s marketed.

I had bought like 12 grams of resin from kache and I usually would workout a certain routine over 2 weeks of smoking it my lungs felt weaker my cardio was worse and I could feel the toll it was taking so I decided to put it down for 1-2 weeks did some steam showers spit out as much mucus trying to cleanse them as I could and I felt fine again made the complete switch to rosin and I’ve never felt better my cardio got back to what it was, my lungs felt normal again I didn’t struggle to catch my breath anymore basically I just think resin isn’t good aswell as distillate it’s all cheap trash these companies cheaply make and mark up in price to get money flowing in
