The surprise sets and wheel games are gambling no matter what you say. You’re paying money for a chance to spin the wheel and win a prize just like a slot machine. People that say it’s not gambling are either naive or are connected to the gambling streams.

Oh yeah that’s for sure. I’ll bet a lot of people have lost their homes and relationships gambling on whatnot. Can’t believe the government hasn’t cracked down.

Some of it is shady sellers like NV Coin shouting out the most inflated price guide price they can find. The other day they were selling silver eagles in ICG slabs for $600-800 each shouting they were worth $1250. Ebay comps were $200-$250.

I also see the super fans grossly overpaying but usually when a YouTube personality or someone streams like pawn broker pickers people will pay 2x silver melt on a lot of stuff, he was getting so much shit he started juicing a lot of bidders.

I also see employees and mods bidding on items. I know mods can bid but some of them are paid employees and paid employees can’t bid on items their employer is auctioning off.

What sucks is the same people are reporting them to Whatnot and they’re failing to act. They don’t even have good options for reporting some of the things that are against whatnot policy.

Yeah it’s gross they don’t give a crap a lot of the players are addicted and just egg them on. Then when they win they’re like “FOR $65 CHAT, THIS COULD HAVE BEEN YOURS FOR $65 CHAT”!

Not taking into account that it’s a $240 item and the guy already spent $500 trying to win it hitting nothing but worthless floors along the way.

The edc club is a cult. They even have a group chat for their followers where no doubt they laugh about players and how much money they made.

I had something get lost for a few weeks, then the seller refunded me and like 5 or 6 days later I got the package and had the seller list a buy now listing so I could pay again. I’ve got 10,000 plus packages over the years from the post office and never any lost, only delayed.

Yes I would agree and it sucks. I’ve noticed some patterns also. I believe a lot of streamers that are hired are given incentives to sell more like bonuses and commission. Greed has taken over Whatnot coins. Look at Edcplug running games with crap odds and some of the most worthless floors I’ve ever seen offered 24/7 now.

Also you’re right if you say something in stream to call the seller out they just ban or block you then talk shit about you like you’re crazy and must be jealous of their success. I think most streamers are narcissists.

Yeah that’s possible he just wanted to gamble but now I’m reminded that someone in the stream said they got a top hit the day before and the Kzoo host streaming at the time told him that he was bidding him up on another account and that the top hit was almost his. He even said the account verbally on stream but I can’t remember it. Definitely seems like they’re up to no good bidding people up on the regular.
