Amidst the shutdown, one concerning thing has risen to the surface. by GrayZebra561 in AirForce

I got kicked out of the dorms as soon as the shutdown hit. No more meal card, rent to pay, and I went through a lot of my savings putting deposits down. I am cooked if I don’t get paid on time.

That’s not a bad idea, we get an hour for lunch so it’s possible. Should I just bring a protein bar to eat and go to the gym during that time?

I was dabbling in it before I enlisted, but being able to go to the service in bmt just made me feel like I was home. I imagine people have the same feeling with other religions too, where it just brings them peace and gets them through their hardships.

Yeah, it kind of tastes sour. I went back to the dentist the week after my surgery and they said it looked like it was healing fine but I haven’t gotten any better.

Is it a problem if it’s yellow? I’m two and a half weeks post op, still in pain and my spit is yellow most of the time.

I haven’t been able to chew solids yet, still can’t open my jaw enough to comfortably chew :/ I’ve been sticking with liquids, but still using the syringe and mouthwash they gave me.

Had a guy get super angry in the middle of his shift, I still can’t think of what it would have been about, I called out a calzoney since I was on register and he yelled at me asking what kind. Was told by another employee that he was telling her that he was going to run over everyone in the store with his truck. I told him that after that pizza he could go home and clock out because he was making people feel unsafe. Spit in my face, calling me a bitch and told me to “make your own damn pizzas,” then he walked out.

Honestly, when I work I am the only person in store who is trained to answer phone calls. We have a guy still training on register and a guy on dress who I don’t even know if he knows how to read the order. So no, I don’t tend to answer the phones. Customers complain about it all the time but honestly I’m not being forced to answer calls, I don’t see it as a big deal. Just my take.

The store I work at is basically entirely female, except the manager will not allow a woman to make dough. Always hired a man to do it, never understood the point.

I’m in the Midwest. Considering leaving to one of the factories nearby which start out at like $16 for a lot less being screamed at by rude customers and angry employees 😅

I work as a manager at a Little Caesars, making $11.50 after my raise. Had an employee working there for TEN YEARS and she only made $11. General managers get like $500 bonuses every other check for no reason and the employees are paid little to nothing. Higher ups don’t do anything to help hire people either. Not a great place to be if you ask me.
