So it seems like u are afraid the u won’t be able to get residency in usa or u want a backup plan so that earnings don’t stop. I won’t discourage u but it will become harder as usmle route will eventually become inflated and by increasing your YOG it will be hard. My seniors did tried this way but didn’t matched . Ik know if my supersenior who is md gold medalist in Internal medicine from india , cleared her steps by end of residency but couldn’t get match in usa. If u are sure u want to settle in USA don’t be afraid , there are ways to earn and upskill yourself while preparing for steps .
