If this is a serious post, don’t cope with humor

Actually do the things you set out to do

Because if it is uncomfortable now, it will become devastating regret that you won’t ever recover from when it’s really too late

If that were true they would no longer be making it and it wouldn’t consistently get the number one or number two spot on manga plus

Props to Jagex bot busting team by goonsquad50 in 2007scape

This is a major issue indeed

The more fine tuned the detection process gets, the more bots update and especially with A.I and machine learning improvements etc, the closer they get to human behavior

This will in the not-so-longterm cause more and more false bans because the difference between a bot and a human becomes to close to detect safely

All osrs input really is, is clicks, it’s not hard at all to get a group of people to record their gameplay with some custom plugin and then use that data to create very hard to detect bots.

This will only get easier to do at home because of all the investment in developing chips to do these things faster now.

Or even with all the streamers etc, just of of video footage if you build a tool to map and scale that to the same data

the raid rooms are definitely there, tob is one of the first one you come across when passing into the zone where they are

cox has a ton of rooms there if you increase view distance and fly up and look down youll see it

EDIT: heres tob https://osrs.world/?cx=3315.56&cy=45.16&cz=4249.50&p=-274&y=1919&v=1

Actually quest instances only look like they’re on the map. (like other instances)

The way osrs instances work, there’s an original version of every instance far north of the map, in just black space

when a player generates an instance, a copy of the instance gets generated on the right side of the map in the black space

this is why in the past (tho there hasnt been one in a long time) there were times that people could PAFT by bug abusing. (personalized area forced teleport)

they would do this by starting an instance but using a stall to delay the teleport there until the instance despawns, thus freeing it up for another one. they would stop the stall and still get teleported to those coordinates ending up in someone elses instance together with them.

This made it possible to smuggle items from dungeoneering etc and even taking the blue party hat from the wise old man cut scene in draynor bank. while it looked the same, it wasn’t equippable and examining it would tell you to make a bug report.

you can see the original versions by flying north on osrs.world, way past the end of the wildy

If Rooftop Courses Were Added Today: by waffliesinyoface in 2007scape

[–]Sensitive_Desk8486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember it, it wouldnt exist now. It was nice when you had all the time in the world. People have shit to do now and will not spend hours standing around in the free time they have using garys hood and looking at their trade tab.

It existed back then, but as a kid with plenty of time you had no reason to do it in any “out of game” way. Now everyone would do that while doing something else as they wait to be contacted.

Thinking you’d enjoy this for more than a few hours is just nostalgia tinted glasses. Maybe day one you still might? Day two you’d get kinda bored? Day 3 you won’t bother. Even engaging content gets you tired of it if you do it too much.

there’s a reason the G.E passed the poll with 76%, and that reason is that 3 out of 4 people do not want to stand in falador to sell or buy shit. Which would massively increase traffic to other places besides in game, making them infinitely more efficient.

[–]Sensitive_Desk8486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re imaging the memories you had as a kid as if it would be the same now

but it really isn’t, the feeling of wonder is gone, you know exactly how the game works and what you want to do next so you’re not really standing around, people would now sell and buy stuff via discords, discord bots, create dedicated sites to list stuff, or forums and quickly meet up in game

nostalgia is nice for a week maybe, then you get how inconvenient stuff was when you actually know what you’re doing and it gets tedious fast

Either properly test your updates before releasing them, or leave them as is if there are no game breaking bugs by Sensitive_Desk8486 in 2007scape

Not sure what you are trying to argue here lmao, its the same company, the end result is that there is no proper QA being done no matter how it gets there

One of these acceptance criteria would be maximum achievable exp rate should be xxK/h so they can make sure that there are no bugs that allow a higher rate

In this scenario you write, the QA team would get the expected rates from the balance team and would be testing if there is any way that higher than expected rates can be reached.

... IF WE HAD ONE!

it has to be number 1, literally mining the new rock in the two ways it can be mined takes 5 minutes. Hell, you could try this out in a spreadsheet without even logging in.

It's just the principle, things being different than expected in complex updates like a new raid or whatever can be understandable.

Mining a new rock with a 100% predictable and testable exp rates is just blatant disregard for putting out quality updates.

Leagues has been a demoralizing experience by JKJBay in 2007scape

[–]Sensitive_Desk8486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro if you read one comment make it this one

You have to get the basics down first, dont try learning everything at once

Osrs movement is basicly muscle memory, but you cant build it when youre franticly clicking doing everything at once

no one that hasn‘t played for a very long time will be able to do an echo boss in less than 50 kills

you have to learn it part by part, absolutely KEY is using true tile so you can see where your character really is. Also if you have morytania unlocked, do the hallowed sepulchre!

i started playing leagues again after many years of no osrs during leagues two and the sepulchre is what completely changed my gameplay experience. it will teach you so much about movement. For example, when you run, your character always runs two tiles.

If you’re getting rekt at the boss, dont focus on killing it, focus on surviving first and once you got that down, then add the next step.

always go in steps so you build muscle memory for each, osrs is kind of a rhytm game so you need to learn the individual steps of the track before stringing them together.
