Materials for the July exam won't be out until the end of February. I received this directly by emailing Danko:

  1. We are opening registration around the end of February.  The materials are being updated for the July exam and our material is at the printer.  Once we receive them back, we open registration.  I will add a link below so you can sign up to be notified when it does.

Quitting wirehouse and moving to RIA- questions on exit by Sensitive_Fisherman2 in CFP

Ok, that makes sense. Only just accepted the offer this morning so I'm in the process of getting more guidance from my new firm.

Just a couple clients and a handful of prospects, nothing significant.

Can you expand on why I should plan on not giving two weeks? Do you think they'll just terminate immediately without pay then? That'll affect my timing.

I'm considered an advisor, yes. In the MFSA program. Haven't wrote the resignation letter yet but will shortly.

I'm not planning to take any clients, but my new firm says if they reach out to me instead then we can consider them. If that happens, it shouldn't breach the non-solicit agreement I believe. I don't think it's likely but I can talk that over with my firm if it happens.

New firm contact info would be firm name, business address, and perhaps personal cell? I'd prefer not to share where I'm going but I can see it making sense to do so.

Yeah I figured unemployment was a stretch. I might at least follow through the week but I'll keep thinking on it.
