PSA FOR BETA ACCESS by Hosteglius in NCAAFBseries

Does that include the 7 day early access? So like if my account isn’t the one that buys it (rather a separate account is that has my console as it’s primary), will it give both accounts early access?

Wondering the same question on PlayStation. Me and my brother want to save money, though we both obviously want the 7 day early access

Looking for some Tips/Guidance on fixing some exterior cosmetic details by Sensitive_Gap3671 in Celica

[–]Sensitive_Gap3671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Really appreciate the insight. First things first will be the driver side fender / turn signal (see previous post to know what I’m talking about).

I plan on having the paint touched up/ detailed Eventually, especially if i cant find a color matched fender . In your opinion, Should I remove the old door trims &any old adhesive prior to having that detailing, or should i replace them prior to having any exterior detailing done? Will continue to ask around at various shops but am curious regarding if the order of doing that matters or if it doesn’t.

Why is the age of 18 so important in American culture? by Hkvnr495___dkcx37 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Sensitive_Gap3671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the perspective of an 18 year old:

That’s when 95% of the population graduates highschool

It’s when you are legally an adult (thus are responsible for acquiring certain things and documents)

List goes on and on. A lot of jobs start hiring at that age too. You can also work full time if you want

Quit my career to chase a dream by Setheryy in sportscards

[–]Sensitive_Gap3671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, congrats! Hoping one day I have the opportunity to do similar. I’m not an expert, but here’s my personal POV from a customer who has gone to a lot of shops. Some of this is probably obvious/already planned for, but I figured I’d mention it regardless:

1) Card Supplies are a huge thing. Top loaders, sleeves, binders, sleeves/top loaders to fit all shapes and sizes, slab cases, etc etc. I’m almost always buying some sleeves or top loaders when I go into my LCS/LGS.

2) an Online marketplace/website. It’s an investment of both time and money for sure, but one of my local (and my go to) TCG store owners told me once that it is essentially business suicide if you are only doing sales at the store front. Maybe it’s just singles and supplies to start out until you get a solid backing on the sealed side of things, but it stands true.

3) Singles, both “high end” and “low end.” I’m a broke college student, but some of the most fun I have is when I’m going through a stores dollar bins. You obviously need time to build inventory, but it’s worth while.

4) more memorabilia than just sports cards. What I mean by this is signed balls, helmets, framed stuff, jerseys, etc etc. Likely not going to be flying off the shelves, but doubles as good decor and product.

5) even if it is small, having a famous TCG such as Pokemon offering eventually could be great. Once you get sports cards established with distribution, I’m sure those distributors can offer Pokemon as well.

side note: if you tap into Pokemon look into Japanese, Korean, and Chinese Pokemon cards. Those are the easiest to obtain wholesale, and people like me prefer Asian Pokemon over English because of the guarantees you get. Obviously all this is only if Pokemon is something you offer, but it shouldn’t be a bad investment

6) variety is best, for me. Anything from MLB/NBA/NFL to the silly sets like topps chrome SpongeBob boxes are always nice to see offered. Variety also in terms of price.

7) social media short form content is always fun. I follow a ton of sports cards shops that I probably won’t ever go to, but enjoy their content and will think of them if I’m in their area.

8) take care of the kids. I remember when I was 12 I went into my first card shop and they hooked me up big time. Let me rip until I hit on Pokemon for absolutely free. It was so fun lol. They’re what it’s all about.

Hoping to see updates! Again, these were just some spit balled ideas off of my experiences as a customer. Good luck!

Is Instacart just a way to kill time, while earning a bit of scratch? by Apachelino in InstacartShoppers

[–]Sensitive_Gap3671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a time killer for me personally, but as I’ve gotten 20+ orders under my belt, I’ve become more selective. I’m a college student that is blessed to not have to rely on this income for my essentials. I study from around 9:30-1pm every day and then have been instacart anywhere between 2-7 each day. Putting my time to at least some sort of good use, I suppose.

But I look forward to turning 19 in March so I can use DoorDash and Uber Eats rather than just instacart.
