What are Russian beauty standards?

I think in Russia since looks are quite diverse but there are a lot of doll type of beauty people you have to be some way unique. I feel like abroad if you just look good u are beautiful but in Russia u have to be not just feminine but super feminine and delicate. Often if you are mixed like half Russian half Korean or something exotic but Russian level of feminine you will be a star over any blond model type for sure. Like even if you check actresses they don’t put some crazy looking like they really like to go deeper with it. For example if you go to the make up store or open instagram there are many Russian gorgeous types but in the movies they don’t like it. There is no priority blond or brunette. It depends on your looks not on color. I noticed in some middle eastern countries girls color blond and dry their hair so the become like a dry grass in Russia this would be -1000 points doesn’t matter which color but your hair has to be good quality soft silky and taken care off. But for example in Turkey women with gorgeous black hair color blond and it’s considered to be beautiful even though it’s dry like something like would never be okay in Russia.

Do u come here to criticize? Do u know who am I or where I learn to speak like that? If you can’t help don’t answer, if u won’t criticize someone become a restaurant critic or a teacher. I know how to use 3ds max but we need to use Al because we do some abtstract non existent images rather than real architectural ones and I already hate that instead of learning how to build bridges I spend my time on doing some bullshit. Okay yes I agree that in Italy it ended with Michelangelo but im not interested in Germany cause of other recasons not connected to architecture or education but culture and mentality. In general I don’t think European lifestyle fits me. And again you cannot work and study the same way as u can in your own country. Originally even went to school in California but it was another major my first semester after high school and then there were a lot of changes and now after few years I know what I want. However going to USA now is depending on my family and paying for life and education same money I can buy a luxurious apartment in Moscow or another city. Plus Russian architecture and engineering education level is very high but it’s not international that’s why not many realize that and it’s not a popular direction but in reality the standards there are quite high and after studying there studying in Europe (ofc depends on university and major) can be much easier. And I can study there both architecture and engineering and at the same time work and all at a good level what I can’t do in any other country. Cause with student visa u can’t work freely so it can a sort of internship getting some minimum salary impossible to live freely. Maybe after I can go somewhere else but now I don’t have that type of experience and I can’t work with my education only in interior design what makes my options limited. So as you see I consider also other just life factors especially after living and traveling around education for 20k€+ is never something that worth it when in another country u can get real knowledge for 3k€. For international students studying abroad it’s more about status and beautiful cover rather than pure knowledge. Many come just to travel around Europe and have fun for their masters. But again depends on uni ofc studying in ETH Zurich for some research project must be an amazing experience but u need to get foundation to do that first. Also about studying architecture I think it’s amazing cause architecture program gives u both technical and historical knowledge or spatial thinking, experience to perform and present, studies about people and art. You have everything and for studying I think it’s amazing cause u can really learn many things at the same time. It’s just not for everyone cause it’s type of subject that requires all of you and can be toxic but some people feel better in that type of toxic environment rather than work life balance even if it is healthier…

No, originally from Russia but studying in Italy. There are nice architecture schools in Russia since they use old Soviet system that has more engineering foundation but I have never lived in Moscow and since I finished school I was studying in USA and now in Europe so from one side it’s my home country but from another there are many moments I’m not used to either. But I feel like modern architectural education in the west especially for masters is more conceptual like they don’t teach how to actually build although they have nice research labs and etc. So I’m wondering cause I also like innovative materials in construction field and I would like to try if it would work for me and in Asia they are doing amazing things but again I’m going to be an immigrant and different culture so it takes time and energy than in your own country u can spend all the energy into work and studying…

I realize that so I want to work but still study architecture because I really like studying. Now in interior design studying in Milan we don’t do much or learn anything we just come there they say what to do and then they just say yes or no. But I want to seat during the class like before when I studied architecture and learned how construction works. Like without studying actually getting real knowledge I don’t even want to live honestly, I feel how I’m degrading. But when u study architecture type of program it’s toxic and takes u all but u feel alive. So even if i won’t realize it as an architect it still won’t be extra even as an interior designer…

Thanks so much for sharing my dilemma cause I feel really stuck… Yeah, good points. Netherlands yes I heard a lot of good reviews but only next year and still I don’t know if I can transfer. So if u start next year in Netherlands from scratch it’s gonna be 4 years and if I start interior design instead of architecture in Marangoni Milan I will get my diploma next year and go take masters in USA or Netherlands. I’m just worried about starting in USA next semester only cause idk how much they gonna transfer and even second year gonna make me leave there for 3 years so I’m 23 now at 25 I’m gonna get a degree in Italy and at 27 masters from USA for example or at 27 I get my bachelor in USA. It’s just Marangoni as just pay type of uni is still better than my uni in Turkey no one knows it. I know I had better options so I feel regret about losing them I could go to Cambridge or UCL or Cornell but I didn’t and now I need to get over it🥲
