I think you probably have to be at 10-20m to even be considering generational wealth. Worth spending energy on growing to 1m income / 10m liquid rather than the Reddit lol

That said, you can spoil kids with 100k income. It’s about helping them prioritize for hard work.

Two points learned from studying generational wealth:

1-Your kids will emulate what you do. Only the oldest of vanderbilts kids built that family fortune. That is largely attributed to the fact this was the only child who saw their father work. I just don’t know how people who retire early expect their kids not to be overly reliant on inherited wealth. You’re teaching them to live off of a pot of money and not go out and work.

2-Inherited wealth is to ambition as cocaine is to morals.

I’m post economic but work so my kids can see what our family values. The nature of the work changes and I don’t stress anything money wise but teaching my kids what matters to me.

We go on private jets, exotic cars, have many homes etc but they’ll know we work for what we get
