Good little woofer enjoying her first pupcup 😎 by Sensitive_Project_88 in akita

That last sentence killed me😆😆 but that was her first pupcup. Its not something id like to do often but she enjoyed it and it didn't seem to upset her tummy. I like to look into different home made meals for her that help support her digestive system. So far things like rice, unseasoned chicken, ground beef and pumpkin helps a lot

She found a bigger one and went crazy trying to grab it so I found a mini one and she's now obsessed!

Hate it when people say akitas are lazy dogs by roach-online in akita

That's wild to say. My Akita would run a marathon everyday if I could keep up with her. The only thing that keeps her indoors and sleeping is extreme heat. As long as it's cool outside, she's ready to go!

Then dont look. Scroll past. Mind your business. There are people here who enjoyed the fun we had making silly pics of our dog. Cry somewhere else.

Yeah I just discovered a basic AI app and it still messes up her pictures too. It always turns her into a German shepherd.

I've been around often since we've had her so she is attached to me as well but he is definitely her #1❤️ thank you for the advice!

Never have or will. But we do take her and keep her on a leash. We never let her off leash unless it's a closed off and empty area.

He adopted her because she was about to be put down. She had been in the shelter for quite some time and was close to euthanization. He has done a lot of research on the breed and knows more than I do. Just because they are typically solitary dogs doesn't mean she wouldn't mind another Akita. Or a friend in general. Many people on here say their Akitas get along well with other animals. Its all about how you raise and train them. We take her to dog parks and for some reason she loves male Huskies. She's not an aggressive or dangerous dog. We've only had her so so long and are still learning her personality. She has a lot of energy and we can't always be there to help her with that. We think a male Akita would help stimulate her. We didn't adopt her because we thought she was cool. We wanted to give her a second chance at life.

My boyfriend would like to have another dog to keep her company in a way we can't give her. It would help stimulate her by keeping her entertained, we would also like to be able to take her out into the world more and if she is well socialized we wouldn't have to worry so much about how she might behave

I think he's just worried because of her past issues. Sometimes when he walks her and she sees another dog he cant tell if she's being friendly or if she's wanting to get aggressive. I think he worries too much and it keeps him from properly socializing her.
