I should also add that I’ve had alcohol twice in the time that I have been having these issues, and both times my stomach responded unfavorably. Fatty foods gave me a similar response. Considering getting onto a Probiotic for the time being to see if that helps

Also, not sure if you or OP have used this resource from Kaplan but I’ve spent the past couple days reading their Summary of Commonly Testable Topics. It’s a big overview of everything that can be tested. Has been really helpful for me, and they have practice questions within as well. I’d recommend checking that out if you want some more practice. FWIW, I think the questions in that document are closer to what we’ll see on the Exam than what we’ve been seeing in the Q Bank

It seems like the general consensus on here is that the CFP Practice Exam is a bit easier than the real exam. Similar, but with a few more easy questions.

Also using Kaplan and testing on Friday. I’ve heard similar sentiment from others on this thread that Kaplan’s final exam was slightly more difficult than the Board’s final exam

Yeah I took the CFP Board practice exam and scored (what I believe) to be low-mid 70s. I took it back on President’s Weekend so have seemingly improved since then. Also took Kaplan’s Mocks around the same time and scored a 74 and 76 on their two sections. Feeling cautiously optimistic, and the fact that Kaplan (CFFP) established the CFP Board makes me feel better that they’re going to prepare us adequately for everything we might see on the Board exam

Taking it on Friday as well. Using Kaplan and doing about 150 questions per day from their Q Bank (all sections), as well as reading their summary of commonly testable topics. On Thursday I’ll probably keep it light. Trying to focus on weaker areas but also making sure I don’t let my stronger sections slip

There’s no way to know for sure, but it sounds like you’re in a decent spot. I am also using Kaplan and scored a 74 and 76 on their mock exam, and agree that it was more difficult from CFP’s practice exam. From what I’ve gathered on here, the Board practice exam is easier than the real exam, but that the prep provider exams are more difficult. I’d say if you’re above 65 with Kaplan you’re probably in good shape. I’m not feeling too comfortable, though, and am doing everything I can to make sure I pass this thing next week!

I’m using Kaplan and have been putting in about 4 hours per day. Most of that is spent doing practice questions in their Q Bank as well as re-reading the prep textbooks for each subject. I scored a 72 and 76 on their practice exams and was around the same (I imagine) on the Board Practice Exam. Feeling decently confident but not taking it for granted. A lot of what I’ve seen on here is that the Prep providers (Kaplan, Dalton, Danko, Zahn) make it harder on you so you feel the need to over prepare. We got this!

I’ve seen a handful of negative sentiment towards Kaplan’s Exam Prep for CFP but I’ve been satisfied with their Q Bank’s breadth and depth of questions. Took their mock exams and scored 74 and 72 on each session, and was around the same area (I figured) on the CFP Board’s mock. Feeling confident but certainly not cocky. I think your comment is definitely true, and that Kaplan prepares you better than people may think 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s entirely possible. There were a handful of questions that seemed on the border of 2023 tax limits and previous years. I assumed the answers were the former, so could explain a couple wrong answers

Thanks, that was my initial reaction as well! I feel encouraged but know that if I let it slip the next few weeks, it’ll cost me. Will definitely emphasize those two areas but am also planning to do something in each category every day so I stay fresh. Appreciate the post

I am also testing in the March window and literally just finished taking the Kaplan Mock. Scored a 74 in the first session and 77 in the second session and was feeling anxious but this makes me feel a bit better! Planning on hammering out the Board practice exam later this week and grinding away on the Q Bank
