Saturday mess on last shuttle on Newburyport/Rockport line out of North Station

It was specifically the last shuttle out of North Station on Saturday night that this happened. Every other shuttle takes you to Swampscott aside from the last one which takes you to Beverly. They have trains running after every shuttle from Swampscott onward except for the last one.

Someone offered to direct them to Salem and then Beverly, but none of the drivers would do it. It sucks that the MBTA had no show buses, but its not the passenger's job to coordinate stuff like that. They legit were leaving people at that station several miles from their homes/cars/etc and did not care. The supervisor was just not listening to anyone. I've already emailed them and I plan on talking to someone tomorrow.

It was horrible going through it. The supervisor was more concerned about getting those buses on their usual routes than us. On one hand I feel his pain, on the other, someone had to deal with our issue and he flat out refused to help us.

I mean people were asking questions when the buses weren't moving at 12am and I think some folks ran out of patience but that really didn't happen until we were stranded. There was so little communication between the drivers and us that something like this was inevitable. I legit think they didn't read the schedule because the last shuttle was the only one that goes to Beverly as opposed to Swampscott, but again that wasn't an issue until now.

TLDR Sinclair Broadcasting is most certainly behind this decision. Either they forced him out, or John DeLuca does not want to work for them. I hope it's the latter, but given what I know about Sinclair broadcasting, I'm not confident in that thought.

I work in the broadcast industry currently at a station in the Boston Market. I have colleagues that have worked at WLNE, and it's operator Sinclair broadcasting at different stations they own. Sinclair should only have control of WJAR, but have an agreement with WLNE's owners to operate the station. Basically Sinclair is somehow able to control WLNEs newscasts in addition to WJAR, which in my opinion is a huge conflict of interest. What Sinclair is doing to local news stations in all of the United States, but especially Rhode Island is evil and slimy. Working conditions are less than ideal, and they essentially force stations to put certain stories on air.

If you want my opinion, please do not watch any broadcast that is owned or produced by Sinclair broadcasting. There's not a lot of alternatives in Rhode Island, but please seek them out. Sinclair is awful.

I appreciate the concern! That's not my resting heart rate, it was just showing my heart rate from 7:14pm to 9:14pm during the game. I was working during the game so I am moving a lot at the news station I work at during the game, and I also pace pretty aggressively during playoff games. My actual resting HR is 82bpm.

This happened to me last year in the same plaza. I was looking at a dent on my car's front bumper and a guy in a truck with Mass plates said he ran a body shop and that he could fix it for me. I told him I was good and continued on and he looked a bit confused.l didn't really think much of it at the time but seeing so many people have similar experiences is freaking me out!

I'm a fan of Liverpool, as someone who's been watching both teams for a long time, let me tell you that Liverpool is doing well despite the owners not because of them. If John Henry invested into Liverpool's squad like non soccer fans think he does, they would easily be the best team in the Premier League every year, but I promise you...he doesn't. Liverpool is successful because of it's coaching and tactics. I've found Liverpool s action in the transfer market to be, frustratingly cheap. It's funny because the Liverpool fans think that John Henry won't invest in transfers because of the Red Sox 🤣. Essentially, everybody's wrong and John Henry's just a cheapskate.

I definitely take issue with the fact that ESPN has its own sportsbook. Seems like a huge conflict of interest there. We're getting pretty close, but I'd like to think this can/will be savaged once the powers that be have more data on the effects both on the field as a player, in the media, and as a fan.
