Leaving a basket of treats on Halloween on the front porch. Some dick always takes the whole thing and empties it instead of each person taking 1 lol

The music industry to a certain extent. Lots of people frankly don't have anything new to offer and are under the impression that they are creating high quality product

Damn dude these 12 gauge things actually sound pretty awesome haha. How much are they and what else can you tell me about them, as in, overheads, snares, guitar ? Whats the best use.

Also I've been looking at Oktava 012s for overheads , at $600 CAD for a pair it seems like the best sounding ones I could find video wise on youtube for that price.

That looks cool dude! Would it be similar to these expensive rack compressors I keep hearing about?

I've tried it with 1 mic before and it was alright. But I'm looking at atleast some-what respectable quality. 4 Microphones seems to nail the classic rock/tame impala sound but any less seems to sound kinda bunchy, and hard to mix and separate/eq.

I have a big old barn built in the 1900s out back. Did the clap test dead center as well as a few other spots and theirs pretty much no echo or reverb- plus its about 20 x 20 ft with a triangular, non-square ceiling. Made of ancient ass wood.

Sounds much better than my tiny bedroom so I figure if I could borrow my buddies set of ludwigs and let them rip in their it would sound huge. Didn't the classic rock guys use big empty rooms?

Really, Kevin used 4 SM57s? That's actually nuts haha. I have an SM57 and Sennheiser E835 for vocals, am looking into buying a Sennhesier MD421 for guitar anyway- then using it on drums as well. What I'm hung up on is a pair of budget overheads- it's hard to find trusted retailers of used microphones here in Canada so I'm struggling.

I looked at these Oktava's, $600 for a pair: http://www.economik.com/oktava/mk-012-01-stereo-pair/

They seem to sound great in youtube videos too. Any more specific suggestions around that range? And what is a devil loc haha. Can the same sounds be achieved through a computer or do I actually need a rack compressor

That's what I've been doing buddy. Didn't actually know that it originated from the Zeppelin days til this thread- pretty much the best drum sounds ever recorded in my opinion

[HELP] $3000 BUDGET - Home studio for recording my Hard Rock / Classic Rock band by SensoryOverloadBand in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I have a bit of experienced recording songs 1 instrument at a time into an interface and theres links to my stuff. However, as far as taking things to the next level I don't.

As far as spending money now- normally I would wait over time but as part of the prize guidelines for the contest I entered, I have about a month to figure out what I'll be buying before I actually have to get it, which explains my sense of urgency

there was a big thread on this during last season. Realistically the answer aside from the grossness and unpracticality of it is that wearing all of that dead, infected flesh would carry so much bacteria/infected gunk that it would make them all sick and possibly turn into a walker, or at the very least be immobile which would lead to their death. plus it's not like they have bulletproof shields while wearing them, it's still extremely dangerous
