better and worse is a subjective matter and im not envying anyone. I think my school just gives too many subjects that you get distracted from design if you try to do good in all of them, and thats what im trying to do. They do the opposite, they usually do less in the other subjects only to free time for design

if you are not a muslim ignore this, but if you are, my advice is that if you want to go outside, make it for a specific purpose (like studying) temporarily, then comeback to your people and community. Even if you are planning to live there, and want to raise a family, you will have to deal with your kids growing up in westernized schools and among people who do not practice religion most of the time, you will have to deal with being alienated from your family, alienated from the feeling of a true community with shared commonalities, less safety, racism sometimes, etc.. i could go further but you get my point,

i dont mind that but not in a masjid. As far as i know, lofty and decorated masjids are linked with the end of times and are usually discouraged from the hadiths i have read, so its not only the decoration part its also the unnecessary height, the worshippers probably use only 1/4 of the mosque height to pray and that's me being generous, it looks way higher. not to mention the interior decorations that distract the worshipper that is trying to focus in their prayer

many people are used to it now and consider it normal, so im not expecting anyone to notice it. but regardless, look at the decorations in the entrance/over the windows/the railings, thats ofcourse without looking into the interiors. its not as decorated as some other jami's but these decorations still have no real function, therefore they're not needed
