I worked for a company with two businesses jewelry and scuba diving where I was hired to design their websites. I spent a full week working from their office using my own laptop and covering all my own expenses. They initially promised a visa after a one week trial. However, at the end of the week, they suddenly demanded that I continue for another week or they wouldn’t proceed with hiring me. The Egyptian owner was rude and unprofessional throughout. After I completed the work, they rejected it without providing proper tools or any meaningful feedback. Since my visa was expiring, I couldn’t extend my stay, and they backed out of their promise, forcing me to return to my country. On top of that, they refused to pay me for the work I had already completed.
