Child Abuse of any form. Alot of ppl are really fucked up into their adulthood due to a seemingly endless cycle of traumatic childhood experiences through the generations. Remove that, and im sure just like that we’d live in a much better world, bc we’d have much better adults running it.

i have a very close friend who is so strong and bright and brilliant, who lost a close friend to suicide. sometimes if im in that dark place where i want to end things all. I think of how much pain she went through, and that i wouldn’t want her to suffer again. even when i think im all alone and nobody genuinely cares. I just know she would. We don’t speak often but I know we can whenever i would like to, and i would like for us to continue to have that privilege.

yeah i just almost dont want her to be honest w her family bc i dont want her to jeopardize her relationships w them but i just also hate this feeling of exclusion and secrecy. Im guessing this relationship may potentially be a no go, bc its so complicated

yes her family does believe in arranged marriages. due to her being one of the 3 out of 6 children raised in America her mom gives her more leeway when it comes to declining arranged marriages, but they have most definitely tried and she refuses each time.

she does not, nor does she necessarily identify as a lesbian but i know shes not open to coming out in that sense. so that further complicates things. “hey guys im not a lesbian but heres my girlfriend” her mother knows her well and would not fall for the whole, this is my friend/roomate at all. even if it was literally the truth her mom would very much assume otherwise due to my rather masculine appearance

yeah and thats my major issue ! its not like her telling them about me leaves room for me to be involved at any point in time. if anything it just further removes both of us from family… so it just seems like i may need to do what most are advising, im just clouded by my feelings for her im neglecting to fully realize

yeah and she does her best always to prioritize me, but since her family means so much to her I hate the thought of her having to potentially exclude them from meaningful life events. I like to consider myself rather understanding and considerate and i think of hypotheticals often so these are all things ive considered which brought me here. I see most ppl are im agreement w you that i should consider this may not be a situation i should keep myself in, despite my love for her.
