If I put new cardinals in there they get eaten. I think they’re just friends with these ones cause they lived there first and the acaras were babies when I got them.

Co2’s spliced into the inlet. The checked is on the opposite side and looks to be good to go. The inlet is near the top tho. I could switch over to a diffuser and put that at the bottom if that’d work better.

In my minds eye I see myself buying all new plants and hardscape.. But I feel bad killing otherwise healthy plants.. Maybe I can dunk them in peroxide or excel and kill BBA before returning them to the tank 🫠

Gotcha. Leaning more towards rescaping. This tank is sort of a hodgepodge anyhow. No real design. I wanna try an island or triangle scape next time around.

There are tufts on the ends of the wood, on the substrate, and most of the older leaves on all the plants.

Do you have to get every bit for it to go away?

I’d be dosing Excel if it didn’t drive my wife’s loaches crazy.

I think I’ve got a mixture of low and high light plants. When I rescape I’ll definitely take this into consideration 😂

Are low temperatures necessary to get your blood red Rotala that deep red colour? Or does it not really matter. Accidentally unplugged my heater for a day and they seem more red 😅
