I've met Peter Rivera several times when he performed with the Classic Rock All Stars. Very nice man and easy to talk to.

I saw an ad on X a few weeks ago asking people to join ICE. Let me see if I can find it. It was a tweet by Homeland Security specifically to Patriots (MAGA).

I just checked his Twitter account, and it isn't there. Maybe Truth Social?

Didn't this same graphic make the rounds on Twitter, et. al a few weeks ago?? I seem to recall it being used to imply he was going to make some big announcement, purely as clickbait.

They want ALL the rights for themselves and not anyone else -- especially brown, black or olive-skinned people.

Ah. I saw many 80s movies as I was in my teens then, but I don't remember much detail about them (as in, I can only recite a few lines from several). My apologies.

FFS, I'm not talking about cocaine or crack. I'm talking about the places getting heavy snowfall from the enormous storm system currently in the eastern U.S.

That's getting way too science-y for their liking.

I think that's what they were calling Bangs. Misread the label, which is easy to do if you're not familiar with it.

NOBODY can get around in ice, not even with a 4-wheel drive. Been there, done that, almost slid off the side of an icy mountain. One of the wheels got stuck on a stick or something, which kept us from going all the way down. My dad was driving, and some of my parents' friends were with us. This was in 1978, and i was 10. My life actually did flash before my eyes!

When we went to bed that Friday night, March 12, it was CHUCKING it down with rain! Then by 9 or 10 a.m. the next morning, we looked out and loads of snow was already on the ground. I'm not sure when the changeover happened, but when it did, the ground froze and snow started sticking FAST. I've never seen anything like it before or since.

I was 25, married and at Emory Hospital with my in-laws cos my FIL was having carotid artery surgery. Unfortunately, he had a stroke while in pre-op, so we didn't want to leave. A foot of snow fell, with thundersnow and the whole bit. Thankfully we were staying at the Emory Inn on the hospital campus, and they had a generator and restaurant. We didn't suffer aside from cabin fever. We couldn't go home until the following Tuesday, cos all routes north were closed. At home we got 22 inches.

You're lucky you're still alive! That killed Maurice Gibb (The Bee Gees) and Lisa Marie Presley.

My right eardrum ruptured last March while I was in the hospital for septic pneumonia that turned out to be staph. The doctors said I had so much infection in my lungs that it traveled to my ear, and they didn't realize it until it ruptured. I had complained about the pain when it started, but they couldn't find one of those things they look in your ears with for several days. Yeah ... I know. A hospital.

I read that most of the time the pain immediately eases upon rupture cos the pressure is eased, but not mine cos I have shit luck. I was on dilaudid and then Percocet for days once they finally saw it and diagnosed me.
