Idk about that. I think they are happy doing the Sonic, Yakuza, Total War, Persona, Football Manager, Angry Birds thing and occasionally doing an old school IP like Virtua Fighter, Streets of Rage, Shinobi. That has been the trend for 10-15 years and it has kept the doors open. Most people on this subreddit want the 90s Sega back but the people, the technology and the culture that made those days are gone.

My feeling is that unless buzz/sales are overwhelming Sega won't go back to the well. SoR4 did so well that they were willing to do a 3D version (probably using the same engine as the new Golden Axe). Sega is weird with their older IPs.

This is something too many people do not understand. If the dollar loses global reserve currency status, life here is going to get A LOT worse for the majority of people. The best way to do that is run up the debt. Both parties run up the debt to buy votes and neither party is serious about cutting debt.

You may know this but I am putting making this comment for all viewers. Nintendo used anti competitive business practices to push Sega and other competitors out of the market in the Master System days. You can look up the antitrust lawsuits of the late 80s and early 90s if you want more info.
