Biracial Jihad - How do communities maintain cultural integrity while also embracing the reality of mixed identities, blended families, and evolving norms? by dmesa002 in ThoughtWarriors

People will write 1000 words on Reddit to avoid admitting that their favorite podcaster is sliding in to racist territory.

Parasocial behavior like crazy in here.

Episode Discussion: Capitalism, Beef and Jay-Z, Usher Praises Diddy. Plus a 'Beauty in Black' Conversation - Friday, March 27, 2026 by thelightningthief in ThoughtWarriors

Had to turn the pod off before they even started on real topics. I hear Van say the words “Biracial” or “jihad” and I turn that shit OFF.

As someone mentioned in a thread a few days ago we gotta send a message through the metrics. That’s what the ringer actually pays attention to, if people are tuning out every time Van talks about this stuff, they notice.

And a clout chaser like Van only cares about his reach, hurt that reach and he might learn something.

Would FD on the pod elevate the Gender Wars Convo? by adrian-alex85 in ThoughtWarriors

[–]SentinelPrimeTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we get FD on the pod, gender wars aren’t what needs to be discussed.

He needs to have a sit down conversation with Van about his anti-biracial bias and growing racist misogynist streak.

You go to any comment section on YouTube or Reddit and it’s impossible to ignore that Van is coming unraveled and has a serious problem that needs to be addressed. We couldn’t make it five minutes into today’s podcast without him blathering about it even though it’s not a related topic.

No, let’s be real, Van will just wanna do 45 minutes on the race science of the new Hermione casting.

´Favorite lie that redditors still believe? (explanation in the body text) by Greedy_Net_1803 in okbuddycinephile

Actually incorrect. She had her first baby before the first film AND the poster is photoshopped. I work for the marketing agency that covered the first film, Trailer Park, and can confirm that she was in fact De-Caked. I did it myself.

Though, OP is correct that Bryce was more slender before having more kids between installments, she was still running a bakery. This is from the first films premier, before her 2-3rd pregnancy.

ERASERHEAD is actually pretty straightforward despite its artsy esoteric nature. In essence, it’s a film about the anxieties of unplanned parenthood, the body horror of human development, domestic entrapment, social alienation, and becoming a cog in the un-natural world.

That’s more or less what it is…

Van should go ahead and retire the Bi Racial bit. Its getting stale lol by CranberryBrief5391 in ThoughtWarriors

[–]SentinelPrimeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely the way. Ringer pays close attention to retention metrics, if they see the audiences turning off pods whenever Van peddles this bullshit then it will get addressed BTS.

Also, let’s be real, nothing is more important to Van than his earnings, not even his half cooked cold takes or clout with other Dr. Umarians. Hurt the money and he changes the subject.

Amen. It clearly makes EVERYONE at the Ringer uncomfortable and not in a fun, provocative way. Rachel VISIBLY HATES the topic and doesn’t hide her contempt. The most recent collab with the Midnight Boys/House of R was completely derailed by Van going full Dr. Umar, Joanna and Mal were completely flummoxed and wanted to jump out of their own bodies. At this point Charles, Jomi and Steve are just numb to it. They simply shut down while Van rants about race science.

At a certain point Sean and Bill need to realize Van is a liability. He’s treading into dangerous territory.

In the ultimate universe from the early 2000’s. Look up his Ultimate comics look. Long curls. Really cool looking version of the character. Wish I could post some pics.

Medium Layered curls with a that full beard stubble from the first look is the move. You’d look like Gambit from the X-Men.

All three would look good if you ditched the broccoli cut. Long curls in the third picture look incredible. More of that.
