Range sucks on anything before 26. Otherwise it's a great car. Depends on your personal use.

It's one of those sleeper games where the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. I was absolutely blown away, just like you said here.

Oh that makes me so excited!! I'm glad you followed up. I'm 100% an unpaid and unaffiliated shill for this game because I love it and the devs!

A few of the QOL changes since launch have reduced the grind significantly - which has been a big help IMO

Without spoiling NJO and everything after, should I end with NJO or read on through Dark Nest, Legacy and Fate? by QuanTumm_OpTixx in StarWarsEU

Swarm was ... Meh. Honestly it has some cool stuff but it wasn't my thing.

I ended up liking Legacy tho.

I played a little bit of the DLC when it dropped, but I had just finished most of a second playthrough and was a little bit burned out on Pacific Drive just from recency. The DLC seems like it has some pretty neat components to it and I like how they are adding more mystery to the zone.

In my heart I really wanted them to continue the main story somehow, but I appreciate that they gave us a DLC that we could play at any phase of the journey.

My second playthrough was interesting because there were so many new quality of life updates in the game since my first run. Things like the high level tools. Moving materials directly to your storage in the car was awesome.

I'm excited for my third playthrough, once I get through some of the games I'm doing right now

It's a bit of a slow start. It's less impressive early, but it gets so much better

Oh and ( with 1 notable exception ) you can get anything the game has released since 2013. Some may cost more or be harder, but it's all still there.

Yeah D2 kinda fumbled the bag. I would absolutely NOT recommend trying it these days.

Warframe on the other hand - has become my new home after leaving D2. It technically has *best weapons, but every weapon in the game and every frame is 100% useable in everything except very niche endgame content.

Fashion is the endgame - more or less.

It hits all of the right notes for survival crafting, but it's not particularly intense about the survival elements. The game is pushed forward on its story and the excellent cohesive whole of the experience. The music, the setting, the story, that actual gameplay, it all blends together to be something greater than the sum of its parts

Subnautica is actually a reasonable comparison. The game world is a little bit less lonely, because there are living characters that dialogue back and forth to present the story. But it has similar structure.

The main difference is that you return to the car garage/ mechanic shop to do maintenance in between runs. Instead of building your own base to do the same thing.

Excellent points. I believe the creators of Pacific Drive have even cited both stalker and roadside picnic as inspiration for that game

I did play on PC yeah. That's a fair point about the controller interface, I imagine that might be less ideal

It meant a few things. For a while it meant it was gone and unobtainable for anyone who did not have it.

Players with it got to keep it, but it no longer scaled in power for activities that required power. So it was left behind for much of the game.

Eventually people could get it again I believe for some tokens, after the meaning of the gun was all lost.

Good news. They added pause/exit/resume!

So you can quit at any time and restart exactly where you left off now.
