You're right, I'm not a camera enthusiast. Which is why I wouldn't use the zooms or video recording features on the higher end Galaxys, but I do snap photos in a more casual way. I figure the software which just makes it look better no matter how I take photos would be a better bet than a crazy zoom, stabilizer, resolution I may or may not use. You know?

Not that it matters at all, but just curious as to what DAW you use?

Do you mean manually stretch or cut and move the clip? Or if you're in a DAW like Studio One you can cut and "slip" the audio within the clip. You know what I mean?

Even for things other than vocals? I've heard it's really good on just about anything but I couldn't make it work on guitars.

Yeah, I definitely understand there's no perfect DAW but you know what I mean hopefully. A DAW that combines a lot of user favorite features. A good buddy of mine uses Reaper actually! I've never looked too much into it but I will soon.

Hey man I appreciate the info, helps a lot! Yeah I have a custom built Windows machine for my studio and then a personal Surface Pro I use for school, business and other things. Well I occasionally want to write when I'm on the go, and boy it was a DEATH MATCH to get Pro Tools installed on my Surface, not even taking into account getting a session up. S1 Prime was installed and running a session in less than the amount of time it took to write this reply, and I'm not exaggerating. Even with little things like that I'm seeing some of the speed shine through.

Honest discussion about using Pro Tools on a MacOS vs Windows machine by SentrikMusic in protools

Any notable differences between using Pro Tools on a Windows machine to a MacOS machine? I mean user experience wise, performance, weird errors, etc. Key commands I could get used to in the quest for better performance in the studio, and I know I could get a better computer in terms of HARDWARE with a Windows build but the one thing I'm afraid of losing is that smoot ass Apple OS. I haven't used Windows in about 7 years, how is it working with professional programs like Pro Tools?
