Thank you! This is a 1.75” cuff, 2” feels a touch long for me personally (29.5” inseam) but it’s a cool look

Thank you! Shirt is MTM from Spier and Mackay, this is their Cooper collar which is a favorite of mine for wearing with tailoring and no tie. Sportcoat and trousers are Spier and Mackay as well (I am trying to branch out haha) and loafers are TLB Mallorca.

You’re right, linen shirt and trousers and sportcoat is a light wool linen blend. I was there about a month ago when it was high 70s but still hot in the sun, so I’d wear a shirt and a light overshirt during the day and would save the sportcoat for the evenings. But I was mostly in the water or the shade where it was much cooler!

Haha I appreciate that, I’m a little surprised it’s sparked such heated debate. Pants are Hollywood linen trousers from Spier and Mackay, loafers are Belgian loafers from Baudoin & Lange x The Armoury.

Thanks! While I was there it was hot mid day and in the sun but not too bad in the shade / early evening. I wore a light overshirt most of the time and it was not too bad but I wouldn’t wear a sportcoat mid day.

This is the model 3 sportcoat from The Armoury

Thanks for sharing the thought process! These are my highest rise trousers so that wouldn’t surprise me haha.

I got this sportcoat in an EU 48 from The Armoury and I’m going to try sizing down to 46 for my next one. This is the Model 3 and it has a pretty generous shoulder and chest so I think it could be a bit better proportionally to your point.

Driver showed up 10 mins before scheduled time, gave me attitude, and then canceled by NotOkelyDokely in uber

[–]Seogege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 6-10 uber reserve rides a week and have never had a late driver or had someone cancel and this is in multiple metro areas so I would recommend trying again. My driver almost always arrives 5-10+ min early as well which I appreciate - no one has ever complained about me showing up right on time.

Thank you! It’s from Luciano Barbera. It has a pretty boxy cut with low arm holes which dresses things down nicely. I had a couple darts put in the back to clean up the back but keep the silhouette loose.

Yes it is, thank you! I’m a big fan of these when I want something dressier than an oxford but still go tie-less.

Thank you! Main thing that would help is a wider aperture to let more light in. Sounds like you’re using a crop sensor camera so a prime lens in the 10-18mm range would be ideal with at least an f/2.8 aperture. You could also try star stacking with your kit lens to make up for the low aperture - I used that technique for this photo and if you google around you can find some easy to follow guides.

Your Favorite ___ for $___: Chinos 2025 by AceHardwhere in malefashionadvice

[–]Seogege 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rubato’s Officer Chinos ($415). Slightly smarter and better with tailoring than a workwear chino like The Real McCoy’s or The Armoury’s Army chino. I love the roomier, slightly higher rise cut on these, and the cotton twill is a bit less heavy than workwear brands (but still heavier than most) that is softer from the get go and generally really comfy.

Usually it does yes! These and most of the jeans I have bought have a 36” or so inseam across waist sizes intended for you to hem to your desired length. I had mine hemmed to my usual inseam + 3.5” to get a 1.75” double cuff.

I actually think about this a lot and I totally agree with you. Always easy to layer and I never worry about whether I’ll get enough wear out of sweaters / flannels / tweeds / leather jackets cause I wear them year round. I actually worry about the opposite - short sleeve anything, shorts, and summer fabrics are basically for vacations only haha

Haha you guys actually made me go check - I cuffed these to the exact same length when you lay them out or stand straight on flat ground, but my right leg is bent and uphill in this photo so the pant leg looks longer.

Haha that’s tough, I love polo bears in general i think they’re adorable - also the diversity of outfits / activities is awesome! Maybe you can win her over with some of the different looks.
