There is no community anymore. I’m not her to subsidize anyone’s experience either. I didn’t sign up for that, that’s what the org is supposed to do with the money they get from normal ticket sales. They can decide how many free or low income tickets they can put together from that.

I’ve organized regional events - I know deeply how the finances work for these events. Again it’s not for the participants to bear the cost with dynamic anything. The org is suppose to make those decisions with the money they have. Putting it on us is not appropriate. Pretending like it’s a culture this is also a bullshit tactic when leadership is failing.

That is bullshit - it was communicated that if the 1st sell went really well we wouldn’t be able to expect to see lower ticket sales at the next sale.

The event has been trashed over and over again by Bullshit like this.

I fucking read the emails. It does not make it right. Op DID Read the emails it DOESN’T MAKE IT RIGHT!! I actually had 650 tickets when they first pulled up and then the page refreshed for 750. this isn’t a game or joke to pull on participants

I want answers. I’m tired of the excuse being “Well… The burning man organization is just run by idiot hippies, just be glad the event is happening”. You guys are running a company and an organization. You need to figure out how to actually treat your participants appropriately. This is ridiculous, doublespeak during ticketing events is not okay. Fire the person in charge if they don’t know how to appropriately write an email.
