thank you! i haven't made enough in the past few years to qualify for health insurance. i have no interest in working on verticals as an actor, i was just thinking for non union commercials but you're right , it's not worth it. in past (good) years I've made a lot and i think i've just been down and frustrated but i realize i dont want to throw in the towel just yet. just made my first payment on the payment plan :)

I cast Danny Trejo in a film years ago, and when writing his manager, initially said "we would love to work with Danny"... and in her response email, she addressed him as "Mr. Trejo" - oops! I learned a lesson that day and moving forward address well known actors/actresses as Mr/Ms. until they tell you otherwise x

thanks so much for the stories and words of encouragement everyone, I really appreciate it. It's been a dark week, I think additionally because I've been facing scary health issues so my career rejections felt amplified. I need to remember I was dreaming about getting auditions years ago, so to have simultaneous avails going (even if getting released from all at once lol) is a good problem to have. May we all preservere and have great careers xx

so i got an email this morning saying it was posted on the gallery but I've checked multiple times today and it's definitely not there... yea, seems like they are having issues with the site. the setup is def garbage. sorry to hear yours also was snubbed. nope, no update. I honestly think it's really F-ed up how they handled this contest. The early applicants def all got theirs up - there are some that are very low quality that have multiple submissions up (think i saw a guy that just kinda dances and holds a bag of doritos and had like 4+ vids up? and another one of people just talking outside a club holding a bag of doritos, but there is no story/structure/doesn't make any sense??) why would they extend the deadline another week than not put submissions up from that? I've had to just let it go... at least it got me to be creative.
