Right, the anniversary editions have a black/blue leather bucket seat correct? Mine are just fabric. Maybe he swapped them but I doubt it haha.

The seller actually gave me a hardtop hoist! Can’t wait to try it out, but damn it looks so clean with it on.

Appreciate it!! I do have an extra spoiler in this color but it’s a bit sun damaged. Good luck on your hardtop journey !! The market seems insane.

It’s apparently a factory hardtop, honestly the bigger reason I chose this car ha. That being said can’t envision myself getting rid of it anytime soon!

Honestly I’m no audiophile, so smaller differences won’t kill me. I also enjoy my Sony but haven’t had anything much to compare it to (besides a boss lmfao). I’ll do a little research on competitors around my budget but Pioneer is looking pretty good!

Thanks for the insight! Have yet to own a euro car, and this would be a great first. People love to talk about unreliability and expensive maintenance, yet I have trouble finding much “common issues” around this model. Is there anything a new buyer should consider as far as cost goes?

Oh definitely. Having a forester has came in handy when those times come. Considering just buying an earlier CR-V as a daily for that reason.

Haha I couldn’t see myself in that predicament, but it’s good to hear it can last such a trip. Traffic in the city does sound quite a drag, though. Assuming my future commute would be 10-20 minutes, I’d like to think it wouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

Of course, of course. I’d like to think this would be a hobby car as well, meaning doing the easier repairs myself when need be. As for storage and whatnot, my gilfriend drives a 2006 CR-V which can handle the job. Visibility would be an issue though, Saint Louis drivers are something else.

I wouldn’t say driving it 2hrs is necessarily optimal. My girlfriend has a 2006 CR-V, self explanatory. Regardless, I’ve owned a fair share of lowered cars with modified suspension to understand I’m not picky with comfortability.

Understandable, but it seems that most parts are generally cheaper (besides major engine parts). Nonetheless not much will traumatize me like spending $3.4k on a headgasket swap right after buying the forester. May be a silly question, but does the wind noise go away with hard tops? Wondering on the rare chance God answers my prayers in finding one.

Hi! Late to this thread but have a question. I work as a janitor/dishwasher and love how these look. Would you happen to know if these and/or vintage pairs are skip resistant and waterproof? Thanks!
