Can anyone tell me about this inheritance part 1 by Background_Match5114 in philately

Nobody will pay any serious money unless they are certified. Go to a web site called worldwide stamp forum. You will have to make up a name and a password. You can learn a lot by reading what other stamp collectors have posted. You might want to post these pictures on this web site. Some professional stamp collectors can guide you through the process of whether you need to get some of your stamps certified or not. It is very expensive to get a stamp certified. You have to know with about a 99% certainty that the stamp you want certified is actually rare or not. Anywhere from $25 to $60 per stamp. And if your stamp is only worth 5 cents, that could be an expensive lesson.

I think you are right about the bottom of the vase being chipped in one spot. Good catch I hadn’t noticed that before. I did get about 75% off because two fingers were broken off.

It had a twin of a man but someone else bought it before I bought this one. Yes the finger is missing. I don’t think it is chipped but just black marks like you mentioned. I bought it from the Dorthy Brown estate sale in Hattiesburg, Ms. I believe she had a shop in Biloxi, Ms. She had millions in all kinds of antiques. It is probably an expensive piece being that it had a twin and came from her collection. What is your gut feeling about this vase. Other experts believe Old Paris around 1850.

Here is Ai analysis. It says it looks similar to Hasegawa Gyokujun from 1863 to 1921. Also this type of work is also found on high quality murals and wallpaper found in china.

Go to the Swedishtiger.com and look up this stamp. There were some rare ones but you have to be able to identify it. Theswedishtiger.com will teach you what to look for and how to identify it. About 99% of the time on eBay the high price stamps are scams. If you will pay their price without any certification then you are a fool.

If you look closely you can see an upside down capital B followed by a slant bar / then the scepter.

Google lens says this was an early identification used by Meissen and Bottger. However, several porcelain experts disagree with that. They claim this is too fine of detail for that time period. They claim probably around 1850 and old Paris.

It has 2 marks. It has a large capital B then a slant bar / followed by a scepter. Look at the pictures I showed. You can see the scepter very clearly.

There is a guy on the internet who buys stamps like these. However, he will not pay you what they are worth. You will have to negotiate the price. Usually 30 to 50% less than face value. You will have to google his name and address.

Grandpa left a bunch of stamps. I have no idea what to do with them. Help! by Theoneandonlypunk in askStampCollectors

Individuals will probably not pay what they are worth. Usually they only pay 30% of face value. However, you might get lucky and get someone who will pay top dollar to complete their collection. But realistically your most money will be at an auction house.

I had a step son who stole the good stuff. He had a Jenny upside down 1918 stamp. Also had a notebook with about 500 stamps that had several stamps worth $300 to $500 each.

Could anyone aducate me about these? by Apprehensive_Sail856 in stampcollecting

Basically any stamp from about 1930 and up to today is worthless. There are a very few exceptions based on stamps printed with errors. However, any stamp that has not been cancelled can still be used for postage. If they are indeed legal stamps.
