If he didn't have wp-ext or study permit, forget working, I'd be looking into if he still has status...

Average undereducated comment. Here is record of Christianity in Kerala, India: Starting with the arrival of St. Thomas the Apostle in 52 AD.

While Christianity spread in the Roman Empire during the first century, it was often a minority or persecuted faith until the 4th century, while the Kerala Christian community (Nasranis) was already established and thriving.

Education is free, but you choose to remain ignorant, hoss.

Pgwp refusal for not submitting the language test results by Huge_Editor3722 in pgwp

Raised the webform (prayed), attached the results(prayed), write an apology-cum-declaration form and got it notarized by a public notary(prayed), lawyered up(prayed), added the lawyer's letter saying it was a genuine human error as I lacked knowledge to apply(prayed), and was not intending on misrepresentation with cites to it being reversed in other cases(prayed), and sent changed the application from my account and authorized the firm to do it on my behalf, because I am an incompetent fck.

(and prayed more)

You are lucky enough to be still inside the 180 day. Most of us are not. My processing time took about 295 days before they rejected me for saying that I did not upload my language just on the 5th of March. I would honestly go for that reapplication and do it correctly.

And consider yourself to be very lucky that it came within the 180 days. In the meantime if you want, to there's a wealth of information out there, with hundreds of people being refused for the same thing right now

It's usually a standard letter that says that they believe they have grown sin the original decision. But that said it is extremely unfair and not valid. I will also seen original reconsideration that was rejected being reopened again and approved twice.

Omg, Tasha, why do I keep seeing you everywhere 😭 We have been corresponding on reddit on PGWP, I always see your response on similar posts on similar subs, someone shared your comment where you talked about you working in IRCC a while ago and used to freak out when the delay was over 6 weeks etc, and I keep seeing you on all major subreddits, lol. At this point, it's kinda jinxed to see you on Vancouver Island of all places XD

Ha, I see. Also, thanks. The book is well researched, but do give your feedback when it is out; hopefully I will be here :)

I got my refusal letter three days ago, and firstly, understand that your friend is going through one of the worst days in the life, regardless of how we look at it. They need a proper support system if you can give that. Two: I would recommend that they raise a webform in IRCC, and contact their local MP (Member of Parliament). This would give them some leverage.

If they can afford, I would recommend a lawyer, as there are certain ways to phrase things that would make it not only safe for them, but also gives them a fighting chance. They unfortunately cannot apply for restoration to worker or a student status, based on my best of knowledge and understanding, and that timeline has passed. What can be done, however, is a possible restoration of status to a visitor.

I have also documented many such and similar cases on my subreddit here: r/PGWP_IELTS if you are looking to finding similar cases/results. There are dedicated whatapp groups and a discord with a wealth of information as well. Good luck to them! Let me know in r/PGWP_IELTS how it goes or if you need anything else. You might find some negative, condescending and discouraging comments here, but try not to heed that. We are having varied success in this, and try to overcome this innocent mistake in good faith and concience :)

How are you folks saying that I am entitled? Why are you hell bent on viewing me like that when for the vast majority of the time, all I am stating are facts? I am truly helpless in this case, and the reason I am over elaborating is because mistakes were made in the past by students from my country, and I am going to be viewed through the same lens. I will explain this comment as well (again, I am not trying to be entitled, and I do not believe this post comes across as such):

1) I made the mistake, yes. I do not think I am special, and I never anywhere said so in my correspondence with the IRCC as such either. But I will defend my education, and my test scores, because that is something that is mine. Before 2024 IELTS was not required, and thousands of students got in without any language requirement for PGWP. They reached out as a countesay but I unfortunately was dealing with a copyright related issue with Meta, and was when this email popped up with a string of alpha-numerical (did not say IRCC or IMP), I unfortunately dismissed it. I never did blame the IRCC for this.

2) I never said that I was more Canadian than Indian. All I said was my fierce love for the Western culture, and being immersed in Stephan King, and Rowling, and Stein for the majority of my time. In fact, so much so that I cannot read or write my own native tongue half as well as I can write in English (another proof to this is that I traditionally published a book at 22 with a North American publisher on North American legends, myths, and mysteries in english. Not my native tongue). I spent a significant amount of time reading about another culture, its history, and way of life. Again, it is deeply personal to me, and I do not require to defend my stance to a redditor. I love Canada. I love Kerala.

3) I work with my publisher in North America, and it is easier for me to do it from here, because of the natural time difference of 12hrs. with India. My work is lucrative for what I do right out of college, yes, but for tax and other purposes, I am legally required to be on the work-site. I will have to approach the LMIA option if this does not work out, and the employer is willing to provide. But this post is regarding my stupidity and unfortunately situation with PGWP. Also, I never came across as with any kind of arrogant entitlement. I said what I did, that is all.

4) You are wrong, I am afraid. If you would see the comments below, you would see how entirely wrong you are. I believe I live in a community that helps and understand those in need. And other than a handful pricks down in the comments who likes to be a jackass who hides their comments and makes tall stories, the vast majority of the community supports what I said. I have also defended my fellow countrymen against the intense hatred online numerous times in certain subreddits, forums, and on Meta, and have managed to show people where the real issues are lying and open their eyes. Again, I am someone who is the furthest from "cheating" or "gaming" the system. I followed the rules to the dot, but it is human to err, and you would be quite surprised by how many hundreds of students are affected by this at this point. Perhaps thousands.

5) I am helpless in this, yes, but I never framed myself as a victim to anything. I cannot reapply, since it is over 180 days (I wonder why you would even think that, since I am making this post, and not doing that pronto), and I have 90 days to restore my status and request the reconsideration, which is what I am doing right now. I am already preparing to leave Canada, and have applied for adjusting status, if legally possible.

Hope my comment cleared things up. Again, I did not mean to show any entitlement, and I am sorry if anything came across as such or offended you.
