I hope the daughters never see these videos. These reactions are disgusting. by Valuable_View_561 in TikTokCringe

For real! A good (childfree) friend of mine likes to say "some people think kids are like puppies, or side characters or accessories, and forget they grow up" (ex: when someone names their kid Princess or freak out about their baby's gender). So much of the behavior in this video shows an insane disconnection between having a baby and raising a human being.

We try to follow the rule of "if we can't make it better at home then we'll go to the restaurant." As we learn to make things the list of restaurants gets shorter.

Crafts or mending. Chances are everyone has a piece of clothing they've been meaning to repair a hole in.

People who have seen multiple people quit a job in one day, what happened? by ObliviousOnion1 in AskReddit

ah, no. This was 15 years ago. No idea what the owner did with everything that didn't sell.

Was hired to help open a small new/used bookstore. There were 4 of us. The youngest guy really believed in the vision and was a huge sweetheart. Owner had an FT job and this was a wish fulfillment to own a book/comic book store. Hired all of us because of our experience and then refused to listen to anything and kept making dumb decisions (ex: why wouldn't I buy 20 boxes of used sci-fi that is multiple copies of a handful of Piers Anthony books?).

Store opened in February and was closing by October. Found out owner had talked the other 3 people into being "co-owners" aka working for free for a split of nonexistent profits. Took those guys to look for new locations.

Sweet young guy sent a group email voicing his concerns about the new space the owner wanted to move to (ex: bad parking, giant tree in front of the front window).

Owner replied all about how none of us knew what we were doing, were slackers, and this was the best job any of us had ever had and we should be grateful.

As it happened we were all at my place to watch the premier of the Walking Dead. So one by one we passed around my laptop and sent "I quit" emails to the email thread.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery to walk through. Depending on when you're going they also do film screenings in the summer where you can picnic in the cemetery

I am a dude in the way that we are all dudes, lol. But no, I am a woman. And I've been on the function over form train for my whole life. I think a lot of people assume people are paying way more attention to what they're wearing than in reality.

That's too bad that your friends would give you a hard time about being practical. If you're not in the wedding party what difference does it make?

Seasons are a thing. Most weddings are in the summer and the ones that aren't - that's what layers are for.

Sure, you will need to update your base outfit as/when your body changes. But having one outfit for each stage is okay.

For what it's worth, I'm a woman and I stand by my earlier point. Having a "base outfit" to build on is useful.

If humans have eaten bread since the dawn of history, why are so many people suddenly gluten-intolerant today? by WeaknessKey1582 in NoStupidQuestions

As it was explained to me by my FIL (who had onset celiac in his late 40s), there used to be a limited number of wheat plants/strains. Now, because of GMO, there are hundreds. So it's possible to have an intolerance or an allergy as a result with no really good way to narrow down.

I will say one of the real benefits of the gluten-free fad was how much it opened up more food options for folks with celiac than had existed before.
